Macro Center For Political Economics
What sets the Center apart is the combination of the social and the economic dimensions, both in terms of the topics it deals with and the research methods that it adopts. The interaction between the economic models and the social models are reflected in the many studies conducted by the Center on economic reforms in Israel in an era of globalization: analysis of state budgets, socio-economic aspects of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, voluntary national service: a cost-benefit analysis, the status of women in Israel, the identity of Israeli youth, social security and the socioeconomic standing of different sectors in the Israeli population. Alongside the studies conducted, the Center promotes a discourse on the broad range of issues that it addresses by creating platforms for discussion that are open to the general public, and by organizing conferences and seminars. Events held by the Center included: three conferences on "the social alliance" that were open to the public in 2014-2015, and hosted in collaboration with the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Israel Foundation, with the participation of leading organizations in various fields, aimed at improving the socioeconomic future of the country's citizens; a roundtable seminar at the Knesset, designed to provide a framework for promoting issues pertaining to young people and to set the stage for various initiatives with a view to formulating a consistent and comprehensive policy on Israel's youth; activity that is conducted under the auspices of the IEPN (The Israeli-European Policy Network) in the framework of which the Macro Center and its partners forge a dialogue between the decision-makers and key public figures on issues pertaining to Israel-Europe relations and issues concerning the Middle East; and a forum on the education system in Israel with the participation of Government Ministers, Knesset members, and educators.

Shrinking The Conflict Initiative
Israel is in a Catch-22: Society is divided regarding the solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The Israeli public is concerned with the security implications of implementing a Two-State Solution as well as the threat to Israel’s Jewish and democratic character resulting from a One-State Solution. We refer to this as Israel’s “Catch-67”. Formulating a strategy to cope with this challenge is critical in order to ensure Israel’s future as a Jewish, democratic, and secure state, especially in light of the emerging possibility of the Palestinian Authority’s collapse. Shrinking the Conflict is a strategic framework in which the Palestinians will possess all of the authorities to govern the Palestinian population in the West Bank/Judea and Samaria, but without the capabilities to threaten Israel. This approach, that promotes a self-sustaining Palestinian autonomous government that doesn’t harm Israel, will reduce the concerns held by the majority of Israeli society. Shrinking the Conflict was established in light of the challenges that Israel’s political catch-67 surrounding the conflict creates for Israel’s future as the homeland for the Jewish people and as a democratic and secure state. Our organization strives to create recognition of and support for the Shrinking the Conflict approach throughout Israeli society. The more widespread public support there is for the concept of shrinking the conflict, the greater the incentive will be for Israeli decision-makers to promote policy steps in line with this strategy. In order to fulfill our mission, we organize parlor meetings and lectures all over Israel, create content via social media outlets and hold training seminars for Israeli influencers and opinion leaders.

Emek-Shaveh עמק שווה
We view the practice of archaeology as an endeavor that can benefit the common good. The various means of involving local communities in work on the site in or near which they live, whether it is managing its heritage, engaging in joint excavations, developing the site, or devising tours that combine visits to the site with an introduction to the local community — strengthen a community’s relationship to its wider environment, yield economic dividends and can bring about significant social change. Emek-Shaveh promotes an appreciation of the diverse and multicultural heritage that characterizes or region. Your support is important so that we may continue to work promoting this goal.
