Heimdallur

Heimdallur er félag ungra sjálfstæðismanna í Reykjavík. Heimdallur er elsta svæðisfélag íslensks stjórnmálaflokks og er stærsta stjórnmálafélag landsins skipað fólki á aldrinum 15 til 35 ára. Félagið var stofnað hinn 16. febrúar 1927 og var ungliðahreyfing Íhaldsflokksins áður en til sameiningar hans og Frjálslynda flokksins kom til árið 1929 og Sjálfstæðisflokkurinn varð að veruleika. Fyrsti formaður félagsins var Pétur Hafstein, sem þá stundaði laganám. Núverandi formaður er Júlíus Viggó Ólafsson.

Landssamtök Íslenskra Stúdenta National Union Of Icelandic Students

The National Union of Icelandic Students, in daily talk called LÍS because of its Icelandic name Landssamtök íslenskra stúdenta, was founded in 2013 as the umbrella organisation for all student councils at universities in Iceland. LIS is the largest organisation for students in higher education in Iceland. The union has 8 member unions (student councils) and through these, LIS represents approximately students. The union represents students from Háskólinn á Akureyri, Háskólinn á Bifröst, Háskóli Íslands, Háskólinn á Hólum, Háskólinn í Reykjavík, Landbúnaðarháskóli Íslands, Listaháskóli Íslands and SÍNE (The association of Icelandic students studying abroad). The members work for the conditions of individual member institutions, whereas LÍS works for the students at a national level. The union operates according to a platform that is developed at its annual congress. The union's role is to coordinate quality assurance in its members’ universities and to safeguard student rights both in Iceland and abroad. LIS can answer for its members when communicating with the press, the government and in public appearances. From the beginning it has been the main goal to establish a strong foundation for the union, so it can continue to grow and operate in the future. The union’s key focus points are: its finances, its law frame and its marketing-and visibility goals as for example its website, and its Facebook page. Other focus points are ongoing projects each year related to quality assurance, international affairs and to appoint people to student related committees. The union is a non-profit organisation and its value lies within its importance for Icelandic students of higher education.

Sjálfstæðisflokkurinn

The basic principles and ideals of the Independence Party can be seen in the independence policy that the party has followed since its inception. The independence policy is neither long-winded nor complex, but rather offers guidance on a few important points that are important to consider in order to guarantee liberty and progress in society. It does not attempt to be an accurate formula for a perfect state, since such exemplary states seldom live an independent life outside of doctrine and theoretical systems. In 1929, when the Conservative Party and the Liberal Party merged under the banner of a new party, the Independence Party, two main principles were established to guide the party. On one hand, Iceland was to become independent under the right conditions as stated in the Danish-Icelandic Union Act. On the other hand, the party would:"implement an open-minded and nationalist reform policy on the basis of the freedom of the individual and freedom of employment, for the good of all classes."

Samband Ungra Sjálfstæðismanna Sus

Samband ungra sjálfstæðismanna (SUS) er samband allra svæðisbundnu sjálfstæðisfélaga ungs fólks á aldrinum 15 til 35 ára. Félögin eru 38 talsins, þar af er Heimdallur í Reykjavík stærsta félagið. Um ungir sjálfstæðismenn eiga aðild að sambandinu, sem var stofnað á Þingvöllum 27. júní árið 1930. Sambandsþing eru haldin annað hvert ár í ágúst eða september þar sem formaður og 26 stjórnarmenn úr öllum kjördæmum landsins eru kjörnir til tveggja ára. Þess á milli eru haldin málefnaþing. Stjórnin hittist að jafnaði mánaðarlega. Tólf manna framkvæmdastjórn, sem fer með daglegan rekstur sambandsins, kemur saman vikulega. Skrifstofa sambandsins er í Valhöll við Háaleitisbraut 1.

Vaka - Hagsmunafélag stúdenta er elsta starfandi hagsmunafélag stúdenta við Háskóla Íslands. Frá stofnun sinni árið 1935 hefur Vaka barist ötullega fyrir hagsmunum í þágu stúdenta.

Snæfellsjökul Fyrir Forseta

Fylgjendur Snæfellsjökuls sem forseta Íslands eru fjölbreyttur hópur íbúa Íslands sem hrífast af krafti jökulsins og alls þess sem hann er táknmynd fyrir. Þar má nefna listamenn, lögfræðinga, kennara, eðlisfræðinga, jöklamús, rithöfunda, sýningarstjóra, tónskálda sem hlusta, vist-heimspekinga og heimskautarefi. Snæfellsjökul fyrir forseta is run by a dynamic team of Icelandic residents including community members, ecologically enthusiastic artists, legal eagles, teachers, physical scientists, jöklamús, writers, curators, composers who listen, ecophilosophers, and Arctic foxes.
