In August 2001, Dr. Daniel Tse, then President and Vice-Chancellor, signed an agreement with Mr. Wong Kam Fai. Under the agreement, the university accepted a generous donation from the Kum Shing K.F. Wong Charity and Education Foundation for the purpose of purchasing school furniture and equipment. As a gesture of gratitude, the school was then named “Wong Kam Fai Secondary and Primary School”. Our school, which is operated under the Direct Subsidy Scheme of the Education Bureau, uses English as the medium of instruction and we are the only English-medium school in the islands district in Hong Kong. YHKCC now has over 70% international students from over 45 countries, offering a dynamic international environment for students. All of our teachers are university graduates; 42% of our teachers possess master's qualifications. Over 40% of our teachers are from overseas including UK, USA, Canada, Ireland, France, Spain, Japan, India, Korea, Australia, Nigeria, Philippines, etc. They bring with them their own country's history and culture. Our students' education is enriched by this cultural diversity which gives a great preparation for life in today's globalised world. Bishop Hall Jubilee School
Bishop Hall Jubilee School was established in 1961 to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of the Right Reverend Ronald Owen Hall as the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Hong Kong, Macao, and South China (now reorganized as Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Province). The laying of the foundation stone on 10th December 1961 marked the blessing of God to this school. As a co-educational government-subsidized EMI secondary school, our mission is to make available to boys and girls a sound and all-round secondary education conducted on Christian principles as professed by the Sheng Kung Hui. We strive to exhort our students to emulate Bishop Hall, a great and godly man who dedicated his whole life to serving the people of Hong Kong and China, in the spirit of his family motto – “I Am Not Born for Myself Alone”, which is adopted as our school motto.
