EINE CHANCE FÜR KINDER In den südafrikanischen Townships Khayelitsha, Gugulethu und Egoli herrschen – wie in allen Townships – Armut, Arbeitslosigkeit und Perspektivlosigkeit. Am meisten leiden darunter die Kinder. Für sie kann von Chancengleichheit keine Rede sein. Vielen Kindern mangelt es an elementaren Dingen wie Essen, Schlafplätzen, gesundheitlicher Versorgung und Bildung. Sie sind fast immer auf sich gestellt und verbringen ihre Zeit auf der Straße, einem gefährlichen Ort. Oft sind sie verwaist und müssen sich ganz allein durchs Leben schlagen. In unseren Ubomi-Häusern bekommen die Kinder neben familiärer Wärme ein warmes und gesundes Essen, Hausaufgabenbetreuung und Sprachunterricht, Life Skills-Training sowie Spiel, Sport und Kreativangebote – und eine Chance auf (Über-)Leben.
