Girls Health Alliance
Girls Health Alliance is a youth-led and feminist organization committed to providing girls with the necessary tools to empower them to take charge of their lives, make informed decisions, and explore their full potential. We do this through partnership, advocacy, innovative actions, and the provision of social support. Our History: Girls Health Alliance (GHA) is a registered Liberian-based youth-led and feminist organization founded in 2019 by Ms. Pauline Faith Gartor, a “born” activist for Girls’ rights, and her colleagues who share the same vision. At age 17, Pauline got stroked by the needless death of a childhood friend from an unsafe abortion due to the lack of health information and promotion and the subsequent death of her beloved mother from a curable disease due to a lack of skilled health attendants. The two tragedies have traumatized Pauline for years, but soon, she finds reasons to turn her trauma and challenges into opportunities by advocating for women’s rights and equality. Pauline has always been saddened by what happened to her friend, who could not live to complete her studies and live a purposeful life. She believes her mother’s death should have been prevented had her country Liberia, had a better health system and services. Pauline’s passion got ignited to tackle these issues with commitment, and she established Girls Health Alliance. GHA promotes and advocates for girls’ sexual reproductive health rights and equality in response to SDG goal 5- Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. GHA promotes Sexual Reproductive Health Rights and Equality for adolescents/youth ages 10-24. Using community development principles, we build the capacity of existing community structures and focus our activities at the local community level, using available resources and sustainable strategies to find long-lasting solutions. We advocate and create awareness at the national level, empower adolescents, and provide direct support where needed.

Toneh Enhancing Community Health-Tech, Liberia Inc
Founded in 2024 by a dedicated team of public health and education professionals, TECH (Toneh Enhancing Community Health) is a youth-focused nonprofit organization based in Liberia that empowers adolescents through Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) advocacy for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and disease prevention. Working directly with schools currently, TECH delivers peer-to-peer, interactive CSE sessions that help girls, boys, and marginalized youth build knowledge and confidence around body autonomy, consent, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and reproductive health. It also promotes proper water, sanitation and hygiene practices. As of mid-2025, TECH has partnered with 8 schools in Montserrado County, reaching over 500 adolescents through more than [128: twice a month @8 schools*8 months] educational sessions. These early results demonstrate a growing demand for culturally sensitive, age-appropriate SRHR education in Liberia’s schools. Understanding that “it takes a village to raise a child,” TECH actively collaborates with the Ministries of Education and Health, as well as religious leaders, community elders, and parents to ensure a supportive environment for adolescents navigating puberty, relationships, and health challenges. TECH’s work is made possible through generous support from local communities, and the organization is currently seeking strategic funding partnerships to scale its programs. Our goal is to reduce the rates of unintended pregnancies, STIs, and harmful practices such as early marriage and gender-based violence—ensuring that every young person can grow up safe, informed, and empowered. We welcome partnerships with donors, foundations, and institutions seeking to invest in adolescent health, gender equity, and youth empowerment in West Africa. Let’s build a healthier, more informed generation together
