The Healthy Families NZ teams work collaboratively with local leaders and organisations to identify, design and implement changes to help people make healthier choices and live healthier lives. Healthy Families NZ focuses on the prevention of chronic disease through reducing risk factors for major health loss and inequity. This is by utilising a systems change approach to ensure New Zealanders enjoy health-promoting social and physical environments that enable healthy food and physical activity choices. Our approach- focuses on multiple risk factors for chronic disease - takes a placed-based, whole-of-community approach, enabling initiatives to be driven by local leadership and responsive to the local context - reflects and aligns with international best practice evidence - supports a comprehensive and coordinated approach to chronic disease prevention through locally-driven action in settings that are sustained over the longer-term - utilises a te ao Māori lens with an explicit focus on equity that reflects the intent of improving Māori health, and reducing inequalities for groups at increased risk of chronic disease. There are currently ten Healthy Families NZ locations, who are a range of locally based organisations leading Healthy Families NZ in their specific communities. Vape-Free Kids Nz
Welcome to Vape-Free Kids NZ. Vape Free Kids NZ is a voluntary collective of parents and whanau wanting to reduce harm to our rangatahi from vaping in Aotearoa. We are calling for action to reduce the visibility and accessibility of vapes in our communities. Age regulations on their own are not enough to keep vapes out of the hands of rangatahi. We have no position when talking about the use of Vapes as a tool for current smokers who want to quit as this is not our area of expertise. We believe that the government has a duty of care to protect our children from the harm caused by these products and we believe that the needs of adults to access a product designed to be addictive should not be at the expense of our children and future generations of non-smokers. Our Facebook group is a place to come together, share our ideas, take action, and make a difference for our kids' futures. Sadly, a new wave of nicotine addiction is already starting among our young people. We need to get our heads out of the clouds and start taking action! We openly welcome your comments and encourage discussion. We ask that you are polite and respectful with your comments and views.

New Zealand Hearing
Early on we made a decision. To get Kiwis to love their hearing again. 20 years of audiology experience taught our founder Scott Wright that clients derive the greatest benefit and joy from hearing solutions when they receive innovative and comprehensive clinical services. He couldn’t help but notice that the large manufacturer-owned network providers were failing to provide fundamental services like continuity of care and same day fittings. The real-world impact of these shortcomings was undeniable (and still is) with a large number of clients presenting with hearing aids they simply aren’t happy with. Somehow the love had disappeared from hearing care in Aotearoa. Something needed to change. In 2014, New Zealand Hearing sprung to life focussed on bringing high quality, locally-owned hearing healthcare back to our communities. Today our nationwide owner-operator group boasts some of the world’s most respected audiologists. Booking an appointment at any one of our 100% locally owned and operated audiology clinics throughout the country gives you direct access to independent hearing experts. Each is committed to finding the right hearing solution for you whilst providing exceptional service and aftercare so you’re truly able to love your hearing again.#loveyourhearing

Public Health Observatory Nz
The Public Health Observatory New Zealand (PHONZ) has been established to provide a forum for people interested in health intelligence to collaborate, exchange ideas, and meet others locally, nationally and internationally with similar interests. The health system, which is undergoing great change, presents an ideal opportunity for PHONZ. Like all health systems, New Zealand continues to collect and collate vast quantities of data at an increasing rate. These data are being turned into information at great speed through various types of analysis, the proliferation of dashboards, and other visual aids (graphs, tables etc.). These stages are essentially computer or machine-driven and underpin much of our current decision-making. In contrast, our health system has a limited and fragmented health intelligence (i.e. human) capacity and capability. Intelligence involves the interpretation, communication and dissemination of information. PHONZ is designed to address these deficiencies and provide NZ with greater "intelligence-driven” decision-making. The evaluation of decision-making leads to enhanced knowledge and understanding of our health system and improves the outcomes for all New Zealanders. First established in 2021, PHONZ became a formally incorporated society in April 2023.
