The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) was established through the promulgation of the Nigerian Export Promotion Decree No. 26 of 1976 and formally inaugurated in March, 1977. This act was amended by Decree No.72 of 1979 and further amended by the Nigerian Export Promotion Decree No. 41 of 1988 and complimented by the Export (Incentives and Miscellaneous Provisions) Decree No. 18 of 1986. The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) is the Federal Government of Nigeria’s apex institution for the promotion, development and diversification of non-oil exports. NEPC has over the years worked to achieve its mandate by e.g: Coordinating and harmonizing export development and promotion activities in the country Taking the lead in all national export programs Interfacing with international trade agencies on cooperation and capacity building Our Vision To make the world a market place for Nigerian non-oil products Our Mission To spearhead the diversification of the Nigerian economy by expanding and increasing non-oil exports for sustainable and inclusive economic growth. African Network Of Youth Policy Experts
The African Network of Youth Policy Experts (AfriNYPE) came alive during First Global Forum on Youth Policies in Baku, Azerbaijan. Sequel to the global forum, African delegates engaged in intensive dialogues and did situation analysis of youth policies in the region, mapping and SWOT analysis followed by concrete document that led to the emergence of AfriNYPE. A privileged meeting and deliberations with the UN Envoy on Youth Mr Ahmed Alhendawi and the youthpolicy.org team (one of the partners that convened the Baku Forum) on the AfriNYPE’s mission, objectives and plans for advancing youth policy work in African region led to the announcement of the platform openly at the closing session of the Global Forum. AfriNYPE was established by African delegates to enhance advocacy for youth policy implementations and realisations among African countries by persuading Africa’s UN Member States to renew their commitments regarding implementing youth policies on the continent. The network will also facilitate knowledge development on youth policies.
