Aotearoa New Zealand's largest independent broadcaster and oldest student radio station, based in the heart of the University of Auckland in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland. Your shelter from the shit since 1969. 95bFM’s mission is to be the innovator, leader and indicator of contemporary music and lifestyles. Over the next few decades the bosom morphed into the mighty 95bFM, the longest-standing independent radio station in New Zealand. We're passionate about music, just like you. We think that radio is better when it's free from commercial pressures, and that it should be challenging without being inaccessible. This is not top 40 radio.

New Zealand Culture & Media Group (NZCMG) is part of the television broadcasting industry with the commitment to foster the cultural diversity through media, radio, film and television, as well as a variety of large-scale community cultural activities. Channel 33 is a television channel owned by New Zealand Culture & Media Group. It officially launched its service on November 16th, 2020, broadcasting 24/7 through Freeview digital terrestrial television transmission service, covering most of the cities of New Zealand. In addition, Channel 33 started its 24-hour online radio streaming service in June 2023. Channel 33 is aiming to serve the local community with a multicultural vision. Taking “discovering the world and sharing our lives, serving the community and growing with everyone” as its positioning strategy, Channel 33 mainly targets the Chinese communities living in New Zealand. At present, the line-up of the programmes includes live feed of overseas contents and self-produced programmes featuring in News & Current Affairs, Social Topics, Food & Health, Children’s Education and so on. In the long run, NZCMG will be community-based, serving local Chinese New Zealanders. It performs as a platform for government departments, organizations and community institutions to delivery their messages. It will also provide opportunities for local Chinese to showcase their wonderful community life, creating a link between different cultures, and seeking breakthroughs between inheritance and integration.

Access Community Radio Incorporated, which broadcasts as Planet FM, doesn't make radio programmes. We provide the facilities, advice, training and technical support needed for community groups and individuals to make their own radio programmes.
