Deutsche Bahn Cargo Romania
At European level, Deutsche Bahn Cargo Romania uses all the resources of the European DB Cargo network, with the help of which it meets all customer needs. At home in Bucharest - This is where all transport and local-delivery services are planned and managed, in a dedicated control center, by qualified personnel. Deutsche Bahn Cargo Romania holds the safety certificates required to operate on the entire Romanian railway network. Following the signing of a transport service contract in Europe between DB Cargo AG, Mainz (later Railion Deutschland and then DB Schenker AG) and Continental AG, Hanover on 20th May DB Cargo AG decided to set up Logistic Center Romania S.R.L.(later known as Logistic Services Danubius S.R.L.) in Timisoara, providing for Continental Automotive Products S.R.L. Timisoara - tire manufacturer - shipping and transport activities by rail. The company continued to develop, so that in 2009 the office in Bucharest has been established, and in 2010, the first international transports fully operated by Logistic Services Danubius were crossing Romania. In May 2011, the name of the company had been changed from Logistic Services Danubius to DB Schenker Rail Romania S.R.L. Wanting to offer its customers the best quality services, DB Schenker Rail Romania established in the summer of 2012, its own depot in Turceni. In 2016, DB Schenker Rail Romania became DB Cargo Romania, and in November 2018, the company's headquarters had been moved from Timisoara to Bucharest, the office in Timisoara remaining a working point. Continuing the upward trend, DB Cargo Romania is today a railway operator that provides premium quality services, reliable for customers, economically viable, safe for employees and environmentally friendly, through a fleet of locomotives and wagons impressive in number and performance, as well as motivated and qualified staff, deployed on the entire Romanian railway network.
