Becoming Regenerative
Becoming Regenerative (B-Regen) is an AHRC/ESRC UKRI-funded investigation into how innovative regenerative ideas emerge, evolve and gain traction within entrepreneurial contexts. B-Regen brings together the Royal College of Art (RCA), University College London (UCL) and Loughborough University, London. Led by a multidisciplinary team, the project follows a global research on real-world journeys of creatives and entrepreneurs as they push the boundaries of regenerative innovation. Our mission is to explore how design can catalyse radical regenerative practices, ways of being, imaginaries, while also investigating new economic systems and co-creating more supportive ecosystems. Through imaginative and evidence-based research, we aim to illuminate the challenges, paradoxes, and strategies that ventures trying to implement regenerative innovations navigate within the confines of present constraints and capitalist systems. Our ultimate aim is to generate the most comprehensive account of how regenerative innovations emerge, particularly in the context of art and design schools, as well as the creative sector. From this, we hope to co-create a more supportive environment for regenerative initiatives, culminating in a set of policy-making recommendations.

Nieuw Zwanenburg
Nieuw Zwanenburg is een werkatelier voor de toekomst waar een collectief werkt aan een gezamenlijke maatschappelijke missie. Het is een onafhankelijke maakplek waar intrinsiek bevlogen mensen met verschillende achtergronden gelijkwaardig en in gedeeld eigenaarschap samenwerken. Onze gezamenlijke missie: bio-based bouwmaterialen verbouwen en ontwikkelen voor toepassing in de grond, weg, waterbouw met respect voor bodem, water en lucht. Er zijn verschillende mensen vanuit vijf verschillende disciplines bij betrokken. Ondernemers, Onderwijs/opleiding, Ontwerpers, Overheden en Omgeving (5 O’s). Nieuw Zwanenburg is een plek in wording, een nieuw samenwerkingsmodel waarin leven, ruimte, onafhankelijkheid en gelijkwaardigheid basisprincipes zijn.

Uma System Change
Many of us crave to see changes in the way we approach health, education, food, energy, and mobility. But, change is hard. And changing systems even harder. We can feel helpless in the face of these constructs we once created to serve us, but that now somehow seem to own us. Many brilliant, brave and gritty change makers impact the way we do things. But none of us can do it alone. We need clarity to reflect on the complex challenges we are facing. We need hope and creativity to imagine radically different ways. We need courage to make a start, and experiment. And above all, we need each other, to collaborate. I apply my background in human-centred design, societal transitions and behaviour change to support teams, organisations and networks in creating systemic impact, whether this is in health, education, food, energy, mobility, housing or any other big theme of our time.

Brakcshaw Studio
We are the critical creactivist studio fueled by pop culture and political science. As capitalism and perpetual growth are deadly outdated, destroying the planet and exploiting living beings, we aim to demonstrate how hyperconsumption, wealth inequalities, and social injustice urgently need to be replaced by collective abundance. Collectief Voor Stadsverwildering
Het Collectief voor stadsverwildering is een samenwerkingsverband van professionals binnen de bouwsector, die zich richten op het delen, uitwerken, testen en ontwikkelen van ideeën met betrekking tot het integreren van natuur in de gebouwde omgeving. Het voornaamste doel van het collectief is het realiseren van concrete oplossingen om ruimte te creëren voor stadsnatuur. Geïnspireerd door het verwilderingsprincipe heeft het collectief de (W)all Inclusive ontwikkeld, een groene geveloplossing die gebaseerd is op het behoud van wilde en lokale flora en fauna in hun natuurlijke habitat. Door de natuur vrijelijk haar gang te laten gaan, ontstaat er een omgeving die op lange termijn de biodiversiteit en veerkracht bevordert. De (W)all Inclusive is een uiterst circulaire oplossing, waarbij gebruik wordt gemaakt van hergebruikte materialen en uitgevoerd wordt door lokale bedrijven. De modulariteit van het systeem maakt het eenvoudig aanpasbaar aan diverse locaties en ambities. Daarnaast combineert de (W)all Inclusive deze kwaliteiten met betaalbaarheid, waardoor het een ideale groene geveloplossing vormt.
