Awakening Church
Awakening Church is a dynamic, contemporary, and multinational Christian church founded in December 2015. As Bulgaria’s fastest-growing church, it has a thriving main campus in Sofia, five additional campuses across the country, and abroad. Its vibrant online presence reaches millions of Bulgarians worldwide through social media and national television. Driven by a passion for social transformation, Awakening Church leads impactful initiatives supporting vulnerable groups, including children in need, juvenile delinquents, and adult prisoners. Year after year, it brings hope to communities and redefines the role of Christian churches in Bulgaria’s Orthodox, post-communist society. Our mission is clear: “To exalt Jesus, to lead people far from Him to know Him, and to build a church that is a factor of change in the world around it.”

Apostolic Old Catholic Mission
Welcome to the Apostolic Old Catholic Mission – the English-speaking ministry of the Bulgarian Old Catholic Church. We are a small, inclusive, and sacramentally grounded mission offering ancient faith for modern people. Rooted in the early Church and nourished by liturgy, community, and Scripture, we seek to follow Christ with hearts open to grace, reason, and renewal. Our mission exists for: • People seeking a deeper spiritual life beyond church politics • Those who’ve felt pushed aside by traditional institutions • Christians yearning for reverent worship, pastoral care, and meaningful connection We are an independent Old Catholic ministry with valid apostolic succession, following the tradition of Utrecht and the early undivided Church. Though not part of the Roman Catholic or Anglican communions, we affirm their gifts and welcome dialogue. Our clergy are validly ordained and serve with humility, warmth, and openness. Services, teaching, and pastoral care are offered online and in person (beginning in Sofia, Bulgaria). As we grow, we aim to reach those who feel spiritually homeless—and offer them a seat at Christ’s table. Christ at the Centre. Everyone at the Table. Website: https://apostolicoldcatholic.org
