Palmis Enèji est une initiative lancée en 2012 par l’ONG Entrepreneurs du Monde, devenue en 2015 une entreprise sociale avec l’entrée a son capital de deux fondations, Yunus Social Business et Grameen Credit Agricole. Son objectif est de permettre aux familles en situation de grande précarité énergétique d’améliorer leurs conditions de vie en accédant à des solutions d’éclairage et de cuisson propres et économiques. PALMIS Enèji poursuit cet objectif en gérant des boutiques en propre et en animant un réseau de microentrepreneurs qui diffusent lampes solaires, foyers améliorés et réchauds à gaz propane en Haïti. Plus de 15 familles ont déjà eu accès à ce type d’équipement grâce à PALMIS Enèji. Palmis Enèji fonctionne conformément aux les principes du Social Business, tels que définis par le Professeur Muhammad Yunus, Prix Nobel de la Paix: c’est une entreprise ne distribuant pas de dividendes, dédiée exclusivement à la résolution de problèmes sociaux et/ou environnementaux et à la réduction de la pauvreté tout en renforçant l'économie et les savoir-faire locaux.

Fuego Del Sol Haiti Fds Haiti
Based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Fuego del Sol (FdS) is a social-eco enterprise creating innovative solutions to global waste and energy problems. Since 2012, the FdS Haiti waste-to-energy project has produced the largest volume of sustainable biomass fuel briquettes in Haiti from the abundant source-fuel materials of recycled paper, cardboard, sawdust, and agricultural waste. FdS produces ultra-efficient TLUD gasification stoves for household and institutional cooking purposes. These stoves provide a cleaner burning alternative to the traditional charcoal stove that is used in most households, which leads to higher indoor air quality for the user. FdS is expanding current production and adding ecological industrial stove/heating applications, including for aluminum smelting, and producing recycled plastic products.
