African Mini Grids
Sizing and designing a solar mini or micro grid can takes weeks. On our website, this process is reduced to minutes. Our experience has taken the math out of it for you. We offer plug and play, village-scale solar systems. We pre-install highly technical solar solutions in South Africa into a container or modular box that is super easy to transport to very remote areas on the back of a pickup. Once the system arrives, it is simply "plugged in" to the solar array. This is important because when a system is installed in the field, there can be mistakes, missing parts, and defective equipment. We catch all of that in our work shop in South Africa. We pre-install all of these quickly and at large scale, so that the total installation costs are dramatically reduced, and the time to deploy the system is reduced from weeks down to just days. We work with churches, non-profits, governmental organizations, and businesses to deliver the leading solar technology on the market. We have powered villages, school campuses, and business centers. We also give back. For every micro or mini grid we install, we sponsor a Malawian student in a technical college for renewable energy. We offer the leading technology in batteries, with lifespans of 20 and 30 years. We offer Lithium Ferrous (Iron) Phosphate or LiFePO, and the Nickel Manganese Cobalt batteries, or NMC, like Tesla or Tesvolt. Our inverters can be configured to meet any mix of power generation, or prioritize one power generation over another, like Solar before Grid, and Grid before batteries, etc. Brands we work with: Inverters and charge controllers: SMA, Victron, Schneider Electric, Outback, Magnum, Fronius, Huawei Batteries: Tesla Powerwall, Tesvolt, BYD, LG Chem, Simpliphi, Trojan, Deka, Rolls Surrette, Alpha ESS, Hoppecke Solar panels: Canadian Solar, REC, JA
