Local Energy Agency Spodnje Podravje supports the introduction of good energy management practices, advocates the concept of sustainability, provides information and guidance, and offers a number of other local services based on specific local energy needs. They operate impartially on both energy demand and supply issues. Some of the activities of the Agency are: Development, research, training, promotion of energy efficiency and introduction of renewable energy sources in the region in order to maximise the self-supply of energy and to strengthen the well-being of the inhabitants of Spodnje Podravje- Supporting the development of new technologies and processes- Enhancing the sustainable use of energy- Creation and execution of research, development and training programmes, which are important for enhancing sustainable energy development from the technical, social, economical, scientific and cultural point of view- Transfer of knowledge, know-how and technologies to practice and development of innovative approaches- Preserving and protection of the environment- Publishing for scientific and educational purposes. The Agency has an important influence on energy consumption, energy efficiency and renewable energy sources at the local scale.
