Zanzibar Energy Sector Support Project
Zanzibar Energy Sector Support Project (ZESS) is a USD 5 million energy sector reform program aimed at increasing access to reliable and secure energy services on Zanzibar, strengthening environmental management in the sector and improving the investment climate. Supporting the Ministry of Land, Housing, Water and Energy with the development of a new energy sector policy and Act, as well as the development of a sector database to spread knowledge 5. Building capacity of ZURA in economic regulation of the electricity sector in Zanzibar, including the preparation of a Cost of Service Study The program is implemented by Multiconsult and financed by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, Sida.
