Isfahan University of Technology was founded in 1974 as the Isfahan branch of Aryamehr University of Technology before the revolution in Iran and admitted its first students in 1977. Iranian Research Institute for Information Science and Technology (IRANDOC) is an institute affiliated with the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology (MSRT) which was established to work in the field of science and technology of Information and Librarianship. From the point of view of activity, this institute enjoys total independence and according to the articles of association, the goals of this institute consists of Information Research Activities, collecting and dissemination of scientific Information and documentation for the purpose of meeting the information needs in this area and attempting for the development of a scientific information network. To achieve this goal, this institute has so far developed various scientific databases and meets different information needs of its users. This institute has gained the experience and knowledge for management of science and technology systems in a macro level during its 50 years activity in the path of collecting, organizing, and dissemination of science and technology information. At present, the Scientific Information database of the institute with more than information records, 126847 of which belongs to the graduates' theses, has on the average more than visitors daily, and according to the report of the High Council of Information, this database ranks first in terms of content and quantity among the governmental sites of the country. At present there are three Research faculties in this institute: Knowledge Management Faculty, Scientometrics and Information Analysis Faculty and Information Technology Management Faculty. The University of Mazandaran (UMZ) is the most important university in the province of Mazandaran. It was established in September 1979 by merging the former local colleges and institutions. Advanced Medical Technologies And Equipment Institute Amtei
Advanced Medical Technologies and Equipment Institute (AMTEI), affiliated to Tehran University of Medical Science (TUMS) was established in 2016 located in the largest general hospital of the country, Imam Khomeini complex after successful endeavors made by Research Center for Science and Technology in Medicine (RCSTIM) during the years 1994-2016. Following the expansion of RCSTIM’s activities as the first national research center for the applications of science and technology in medicine, two additional research centers were established in 2010; Research Center for Molecular and Cellular Imaging (RCMCI) and Research Center for Biomedical Technology and Robotic (RCBTR) Later, in 2016, these three research centers were integrated, leading to establish AMTEI. By providing a joint research environment for close cooperation of the scientists and clinicians, this institute has created an applied medical research capacity adapted towards clinical needs. Besides, AMTEI owns the first specialized incubation center of medical equipment in Iran that was established in the same line by RCSTIM in 2001.

Avicenna Research Institute
پژوهشگاه ابن سینا مسیر تکامل و توسعه را از شکل گیری پژوهشکده ای کوچک در جهاد دانشگاهی در سال 1377 آغاز کرد. در تیرماه 78 این پژوهشکده به عنوان مرکز تحقیقات بیوتکنولوژی تولید مثل به تصویب شورای گسترش دانشگاه های علوم پزشکی وزارت بهداشت، درمان و آموزش پزشکی رسید. فعالیت های این مجموعه از ابتدا بر ابعاد مختلف باروری، مانند ایمونولوژی، ژنتیک، عفونت ها و غدد تولیدمثل و جنبه های اخلاقی و حقوقی باروری متمرکز بوده است و از نخستین سال های شکل گیری تلاش شد با برگزاری سمینارهای بین رشته ای کشوری، متخصصان و صاحب نظران رشته های مختلف به پژوهش در این زمینه ترغیب شوند. فعالیت های پژوهشگاه ابن سینا نیز امروز پویاتر و متنوع تر از گذشته ادامه دارد و در سال های اخیر دستاوردهایی چشمگیر در زمینه هایی نوین، همانند سلول های بنیادی و بیوتکنولوژی دامی داشته است. این پژوهشگاه همواره به ابعاد اخلاقی، حقوقی و فقهی پژوهش و درمان نیز توجه داشته و به همین دلیل گروه حقوق و اخلاق زیستی پژوهشگاه ابن سینا در سال 1387شکل گرفت تا سازگاری علوم و فناوری های نوین با نظام حقوقی، اخلاقی و فقهی موجود را بررسی و تبیین نماید و چالش ها و پیامدهای اخلاقی توسعۀ علوم و فناوری های زیستی را رصد کند. پژوهش ها، سمینارها، کتب و مقالات این گروه همواره جریان ساز و اثرگذار بوده و محققان و دانشجویان بسیاری را به پژوهش در زمینۀ حقوق و اخلاق زیستی جلب کرده است. همچنین، مرکز رشد فناوری سلامت ابن سینا با حمایت فنی، علمی و اقتصادی پژوهشگاه ابن سینا از سال 1389 فعالیت خود را آغاز کرده است. هدف از تأسیس این مرکز رشد توسعۀ حرفه های جدید و حمایت از کارآفرینانی است که در قالب واحدهای نوپا در زمینه های تخصصی بیوتکنولوژی تولید مثل، آنتی بادی منوکلونال و نانوتکنولوژی زیستی فعالیت می کنند. واحدهای مستقر در این مرکز می توانند از تجهیزات و خدمات پژوهشکده ها و مرکز تخصصی ناباروری و سقط مکرر ابن سینا استفاده کنند.

The Mechatronic Research Center of the Islamic Azad University of Qazvin began its activity in 2003 with a laboratory. There are currently 11 laboratories in the center. Tarahan Parseh Transportation Research Institute
Tarahan Parseh Transportation Research Institute (TRI) is the first private transportation institute in Iran working on all fields of transportation; aviation, marine, rail and road. Having been upgraded from Tarahan Parseh Transportation Research Center (TRC) to an institute status in January 2012, the Institute follows the route of the Center, however, with further capacity and at higher altitude. The Institute is enriched by collaborating with academics including university professors, PhD and MSc students, and graduate and post-graduate engineers with specialties in Highway and Transportation Engineering and/or Transportation Planning. Center For Infrastructure Sustainability And Resilience Research Insurer
Center for "Infrastructure Sustainability and Resilience Research"(INSURER) was established with the objective of bringing together multiple disciplines for high-caliber research on sustainability and resilience of civil infrastructure. Resilience is the ability of infrastructure to absorb shocks and recover quickly to serviceability in the face of probable hazard events in their life cycle. In turn, sustainability is the ability of infrastructure to facilitate meeting society's present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Moving towards a resilient and sustainable society requires multidisciplinary research on probabilistic modeling and simulation of hazards, the performance of infrastructure, the ensuing impacts, and the process of decision making for recovery, on quantification of sustainability and resilience measures for the society, and on developing software tools for evaluation of policies on optimal enhancement of sustainability and resilience given limited resources. This is the primary mission of INSURER.

Construction Material Institute (CMI) at the University of Tehran facilitates the transfer of academic insight to the construction industry and addresses the need for knowledge-based solutions in the construction sector. CMI has successfully conducted numerous industrial research projects that have led to the resolution of several major practical problems related to the durability of concrete, health monitoring, repair, rehabilitation and corrosion assessment of concrete infrastructure, performance-based quality control of concrete and controlled concrete mixture design. CMI has trained hundreds of graduate students and technicians who are currently pursuing industrial or academic endeavors. CMI has organized several workshops, has participated in many national industrial and government projects, and has collaborated with other academic experts from different universities in order to enhance the quality of construction materials and address the sustainability issues in the construction sector.

Gamlab Graphene And Advanced Materials Laboratory
The Amirkabir University of Technology established the Graphene and Advanced Materials Laboratory (GAM Lab) in 2013, under the leadership of Professor Malek Naderi. We are interested in nanomaterials such as the synthesis of nanoparticles (gold, magnetite, silica, polystyrene, and platinum), core-shell nanostructures, hollow nanostructures, etc, and issues related to the recovery of metals and other valuable components employing a hydrometallurgical process such as gold, silver, selenium and titanium dioxide from a secondary source (slimes, sludge, etc.) In addition to nanomaterial, GAM Lab has started researching Materials Chemistry and graphene composites since 2013. Our interests lie in the fundamental and applied investigation of graphene nanocomposites and related materials. Current research topics include: • Synthesis of graphene aerogel and its relative nanocomposites • Graphene aerogel composites with electrochemical energy storage applications • Graphene aerogel composites with oil adsorption applications • Smart nanofluids based on carbon nanostructures The Lab is equipped with the state of the art systems for Material synthesis and fabrication as well as Measurement and analysis of them. Today, Ph.D. candidates and MSc and BSc students work in three research groups.
