Evidence Central Asia
Evidence CA is a non-governmental research center based in Bishkek. We conduct research in communities that exist within a survival model. We believe that the power of data and evidence will drive quality management decisions that affect the lives of ordinary people. To achieve this, Evidence CA conducts research and consultations specializing in anthropological marketing and sociological research, media monitoring, market and consumer analytics, as well as policy and applied research. We boast over 10 years of experience in our area of expertise. With 40 projects and counting, we strive to satisfy the requests of our 30 partner organizations with innovative statistics and analysis. Our team consists exclusively of young professionals with diverse research backgrounds. We live in a survival model society - a structure where citizens, businesses, and political institutions opt for short-term decisions that lead to irreversible consequences. At Evidence CA, we study the societal impact of phenomena such as religion, conflict, ecology, and tradition. Ultimately, we are investigating key aspects of life under the survival model while examining academic, practical, and policy solutions to advance development and sustainability in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia. Despite our roots in Kyrgyzstan, we foresee the most development potential to spawn from collaborative efforts, which is why we partner with research centers in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan. Moreover, we believe that data should be shared, thus we created a repository where our data is collected and shared with interested parties. At this moment, we have established partnerships with the Social Research Lab and Career Center of the American University of Central Asia, government agencies, international organizations, and NGOs working in the region.
