International Institute Of Molecular And Cell Biology In Warsaw
The International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw was established under an international agreement between the government of the Republic of Poland and UNESCO and a dedicated parliamentary act of 1997, so it has a unique legal status in the Polish scientific system. For years, the Institute has boasted the highest scientific category (A+) in the evaluation of scientific institutions by the Ministry responsible for science, including the latest one in 2022. To strengthen its international position, the IIMCB joined the EU-LIFE alliance of 15 independent research institutes. This alliance works for excellence in life sciences, attaching great importance to the quality and integrity of science, while at the same time actively participating in shaping European science policy. The main research directions at the IIMCB are RNA biology and cell biology, both aimed at understanding the fundamentals of human diseases, which are the basis for creating innovative therapeutic and diagnostic methods. The scientific excellence which we pursue involves the implementation of ambitious research projects and scientific initiatives, and forming partnerships with leading research centers in Poland and abroad. To ensure that the results of this research are translated into clinical applications, the IIMCB is open to cooperation with the pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries. The well-being of the members of our community is paramount to us, thus the IIMCB follows the rules put forward by the European Commission in the HR Excellence in Research programme. The adopted Gender Equality Plan includes measures to take it a step further: providing an assuring and conducive work culture based on the respect for the principles of equality and diversity. In doing so, we enable all employees to freely develop their scientific and personal skills. Privacy policy:

National Synchrotron Radiation Centre Solaris
The SOLARIS synchrotron is the most modern and largest multidisciplinary research tool in Poland. A synchrotron is a cyclic accelerator, i.e. a device in which particles are accelerated and they travel around a fixed closed-loop path. In the SOLARIS synchrotron, electrons are accelerated. When the path of electrons rushing at a speed close to the speed of light is curved (so that they move in a circle), electromagnetic radiation, called synchrotron light, is produced. This light is taken out of the synchrotron through to the so-called beamlines. At the end of the beamlines, experimental end-stations are mounted. Thus, a synchrotron is a device for producing light that allows conducting research in many natural and technical sciences, such as biology, chemistry, physics, material engineering, nanotechnology, medicine, pharmacology, geology and crystallography.

We also support companies in solving their research problems. ANALYTICAL RESEARCH We use very advanced techniques, that are completely unique in Europe. We have extensive experience in performing studies specific to various drug forms, including permeation, disintegration time and nitrosamines studies. We work within a rigorous GMP system and we are licensed to work with selected narcotics and psychotropic substances, including cannabis. Recently we have discovered a new passion, namely the synthesis of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). That is why we are developing a new Chemical Synthesis Laboratory. In our well-equipped labs, among other activities, we perform precise and complex analysis of APIs, pharmaceutical excipients, and packaging materials; we analyse shapes and sizes of molecules, and we can dissect a product into its constituent parts and discover what it contains by learning about its composition. COOPERATION AND SCIENCE We cooperate with universities by conducting scientific internships for PhD and master's students. We deliver lectures and presentations at scientific conferences. Our extensive efforts have been recognized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Ministry of Economy, which resulted in awarding us the elite status of the Research and Development Centre and the status of a scientific unit. Institute Of Biotechnology And Molecular Medicine
The Institute of Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine (IBMM) is an independent research institution that creates an elite center in biomedical research. IBMM's activity focuses on the implementation of integrative and innovative research. This goal is achieved by obtaining financing and developing international cooperation networks. The scope of the Institute's scientific activity includes biotechnology, medicine, diagnostics and molecular biology. However, the interdisciplinary character of many IBMM projects means that they are often participated by non-mainstream researchers in biomedical sciences. What's more, IBMM is actively involved in the transfer of technology and the development of projects with high commercial potential. Through a network of local and international partners, fast technology transfer is achieved to effectively create spin-off ventures. Zakres naukowej działalności Instytutu obejmuje biotechnologię, medycynę, diagnostykę i biologię molekularną. Poprzez sieć partnerów lokalnych i międzynarodowych, osiągany jest szybki transfer technologii do efektywnego tworzenia przedsięwzięć typu spin-off.
