Lola - – Live Once with Love and Ambition. The owner of the restaurant has travelled around the world, mostly in Europe and Asia. As a food admirer the quest began and led him to try different types of cuisines, bistros, cafes, bars, Michelin star restaurants, among others. The search of exotic restaurants and tastes has taken him to many places predominantly France and other countries. This also give him an opportunity to travel to Asia, such as China, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, etc. One day this quest led him to Macau to explore more due to an interest of Chinese and Portuguese heritage. During this time, there was an opportunity to open a restaurant and so he did. He saw that the food in Macau was good, however there were very few places that were high-end without being overly expensive. The general idea was a small bistro place that you find in France, with an inexpensive price tag and most importantly to complete the whole experience. Knowing that in Macau there are only a few fusion places, he decided that the chosen cuisine would be a fusion of East and West due to the extensive amount of travelling between these places. The restaurant being in the middle of residential area among other restaurants, a fusion restaurant would be a nice mix in the neighborhood, therefore the thought was not only on his behalf but also to the community. With this, talents had to be gathered. Not an easy task, but he managed to find a diversity of people with different backgrounds including Head Chef André, Bar Manager Yellow and General Manager Roberto. Each one of them has a story but coincidently all of them ended in Macau. It is a great story to tell, adventures to experience and diversity to expand. Let this tale begin!
