Chonguile which in Bantu language means beautiful, trades vintage and new, handmade arts, crafts, paintings and sculpture made in Mozambique (the Indian sea pearl as is known). The company started in December 2018, when we decided to sell African prints, followed by selling of African print accessories, such as bracelets, earrings, purse and other items. During the observation we made in our market, we realized that the country was blessed by unique talents, people that use their hand to produce unique products. During several meetings with local artists and foreigners that has been visiting Mozambique, we realized that they love our arts and they have been face challenges to imports arts from Mozambique, this is why we redesigned the business concept not be limited to our own products and be the trader of all local artists that want to see their products worldwide, thus, Chonguile acquired the license to trade and export/import arts and sculptures. Mozambique has a beautiful cost and has been a tourist destination in Africa due to the unique crystal clear waters (Indian ocean) that have been attracting foreigners, whom are amazed by our local culture (paintings and crafts) and usually collects souvenirs from the place they visited in Mozambique.
