Sms - Shopping Centre
SMS is the Faroe Islands’ largest and best shopping centre, giving you the opportunity to purchase nearly anything you need – both products and experiences. In safe and cosy surroundings, you can walk along the shopping street under a roof and experience the country’s largest and widest selection of products. At SMS, our customers and their needs come first. Our wide range of shops and products, and our excellent return policy, reflect this. For us, it is important that customers can shop in a safe environment where they can find anything they need in one location. We strive to be open when needed and to make sure our customers can park safely. In addition to our wide range of products, SMS is also a place where people meet. The various food providers can cater to any need. Our customers regularly take the time to eat or grab a coffee. We also have many work colleagues that visit for lunch, and during the evenings and weekends, parents bring their families, and grandmothers, grandfathers and young people enjoy themselves. The building is always full of life. The centre square in the middle of the building is an essential part of SMS. Many events are organised in this location and organisers are always very pleased. The centre square is the heart of SMS and in Tórshavn as a whole. Other companies and partnerships The SMS concern owns and runs other companies, such as supermarkets Bónus and Miklagarður (the latter is located in SMS) and Mylnan, a bakery chain with several shops spread across the capital. There are also partnerships in place with fitness centre, Burn, and electronics company, Power. The SMS concern runs a company called Dvøljan, which manage Burger King, Sunset Boulevard and Baresso (fast food restaurants in SMS).
