The "future" of carbon offsets is "Biodiversity Credits". the "present" is geolocating carbon removal, & biodiversity, then reporting measured values in dynamic NFT Impact Certificates. Geolocation enhances transparency & provenance. Each of our NFTs is a pay-to-preserve sponsorship of one dedicated hectare of carbon removal, & biodiversity, in our tropical forest in the Volta Region of Ghana. Each of our NFTs conveys rights to at least 5 tons of carbon removal per year. A personal carbon footprint ranges from 5 to 30 tons of CO2 per year. We reinvest 15% of our NFT revenue into forest management & 50% into a ReFi VC fund. Our impact fund solicits challenges & solutions from the local community then motivates our international crypto experts to apply Web3 innovations to help local entrepreneurs reimagine more sustainable & profitable solutions to legacy challenges. The outcomes are environmental, social & governance (“ESG”) benefits plus our fund multiplies, compounds & recycles NFT sponsorship. Our approach empowers low-income forest communities to monetize the immediate benefits of forest conservation then fund the future benefits of afforestation, reforestation & entrepreneurship. This increases the value of each forest to its local community, which mitigates the root causes of poverty-driven deforestation. Note: According to NASA, burning fossil fuels & deforestation are the main causes of global warming. Burning fossil fuels emits carbon dioxide ("CO2") into the atmosphere & trees remove CO2. Greenhouse gases, like CO2, act like a blanket in the atmosphere that traps heat from the sun and warms the Earth. The concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, and Earth's average surface temperature, have both increased steadily since the start of the industrial revolution. Organizations can compensate for the CO2 emissions that they cannot eliminate by buying carbon removal rights from organizations that remove CO2 from the atmosphere.
