Polen Records

Polen Records is a Colombian record label based in Bogota, that since 2006 seeks to give voice to an independent Latin-American sound. It began as a risky but refreshing idea with the intention of releasing music that did not seem to have room in the market. Polen's first release was Bajotierra's Los Días Adelante (2006), followed by Bomba Estéreo's debut EP, Vol.1, and Chocquibtown's debut LP, Somos Pacífico. Our catalogue exposes the artistic line we seek to maintain and help create, revealing the multicultural identity of our country. At Polen Records we admire and appreciate the music our artists create and understand our job as a collective effort to get this music to the widest audience possible. Polen Records es un sello discográfico colombiano con sede en Bogotá, que desde 2006 busca dar voz a un sonido independiente latinoamericano. Comenzó como una idea arriesgada pero refrescante con la intención de publicar música que parecía no tener cabida en el mercado. El primer lanzamiento de Polen fue Los Días Adelante (2006) de Bajotierra, seguido por el EP debut de Bomba Estéreo, Vol.1, y el album debut de Chocquibtown, Somos Pacífico. Nuestro catálogo expone una línea artística que buscamos mantener y ayudar a crear, revelando la identidad multicultural de nuestro país. My portfolio includes a combination of collaborations, commissioned work and personal projects in Sound Recording and/or Editing, Accessibility and Inclusion Consulting, Techno-Aids, Conferences, and Workshops. I have +20 years of experience as a nature sound recordist; and +12 years working in the management and instruction of assistive technology for visually impaired people, and consulting in inclusion and accessibility for biodiversity conservation and environmental education projects, for ecotourism projects, infrastructure projects, W3C web accessibility, workshops for children and adults, among others.
