Beam - Beyond Earth Aristotle Missions
B.E.A.M. is a student space research group founded by students of the Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering Department with the aim of participating in the REXUS/BEXUS Programme. The group's first project was called SHADE (SDR Helix Antenna Deployment Experiment) and concerned the study of a mechanism for deploying a helix antenna. Since then, the team participates in every cycle of the REXUS/BEXUS competition, presenting new and innovative ideas to be implemented, while also being active in different competitions related to space research such as IGLUNA, CanSat Greece and NASA Space Apps. To date, the team measures six experiments: SHADE, ECOWISE, LIGHT, Star Trackers, DROPSTAR and LISER, each of which has a different object of study. The REXUS/BEXUS programme is realised under a bilateral Agency Agreement between the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the Swedish National Space Agency (SNSA). The REXUS/BEXUS programme is further realised with the help of ESA, ZARM, EuroLaunch, MORABA and SSC. The IGLUNA competition is a student program aimed at raising public awareness of space and is organized by the Swiss Space Agency. CanSat in Greece is a panhellenic competition regarding space technology. It is organized by SPIN – Space Innovation in cooperation with ESA and the World CanSat & Rocketry Competition (WCRC). Nasa’s International Space Apps Challenge is an innovation hackathon with a duration of 48 hours, taking place in over 200 cities worldwide and is organized by NASA.

Lexion
Lexion is a mechanical and aerospace engineering R&D company based in Greece. By working from first principles, we engineer novel, tailored solutions that are not bound by existing technologies and carry disruptive potential across both emerging and established industries. Our crown jewel is the APEX (Airbreathing Pulsed EXplosions) engine — a paradigm shift in high-power applications, offering both rapid response and exceptional adaptability across a wide range of operating conditions. We envision a truly reusable spaceplane capable of reaching hypersonic speeds in airbreathing mode, then transitioning seamlessly into rocket mode to exit the atmosphere. This approach will not only drastically reduce the cost per kilogram to orbit, but also enable a new kind of launch infrastructure — one that more closely resembles an airport, allowing for frequent, flexible, and low-cost operations.
