Asteroid Day
Asteroid Day is a United Nations proclaimed global educational awareness movement held annually on 30 June, the anniversary of the 1908 Siberian Tunguska asteroid event. Asteroid Day events are hosted worldwide by independent organisations including schools, museums, space agencies and clubs, who seek to educate their communities about the threats and opportunities of asteroids. The Asteroid Day website, social media, newsletters and events are produced by Luxembourg based charity Asteroid Foundation. Asteroid Day was co-founded in 2014 by Dr. Brian May, astrophysicist and lead guitarist of Queen, with Danica Remy, President of B612 Foundation, Rusty Schweickart, Apollo 9 Astronaut, and filmmaker Grig Richters.

Spacebackend
Spacebackend is revolutionizing system integration in the aerospace industry. We’re building an AI-powered platform that automates system integration by intelligently transforming hardware interface documents (ICDs, datasheets) into digital twins - while generating, testing, and deploying fully validated, cross-platform onboard middleware that can be seamlessly integrated with any flight software framework. Our technology enables true plug-and-play interoperability between satellites, payloads, and subsystems - allowing any hardware component to be integrated into any satellite platform, and dramatically reducing integration timelines from years to days. With a modular, cloud-native architecture, Spacebackend supports the entire system integration lifecycle - from ICD inspection, configuration, and code generation to mission operations and remote control. Whether you're a spacecraft integrator, payload provider, or satellite operator, Spacebackend accelerates your path to orbit and empowers you to scale with confidence. Core Offerings: 1. Lynapse Studio - Engineer-in-the-loop platform for generating, testing, and managing onboard software for system integration - from simple COTS components to mission-critical payloads. Lynapse Operations - Ground segment interface for remote telemetry, command, and analytics. Lynapse SDK/API - Extend and integrate Lynapse into your development, simulation, integration and operations pipelines.
