Barbados Golf Club
Located at Durants, Christ Church, just off the ABC Highway, the Barbados Golf Club is easily accessible from all parts of the island. After its redesign by, internationally recognized golf architect, Ron Kirby, in 2020 the course was sanctioned by the PGA European Tour, to host a senior PGA tournament and has since hosted numerous prestigious championships. The 6,805-yard, par-72, 18-hole, links-style course, meanders across gently undulating landscape, with wide open fairways and superb greens. The course is made up of two ‘returning nines’ that finish into an expansive triple green, dramatically wrapped around a small lake bordered with mature trees. A second lake comes into play around holes 15 and 16, creating an enjoyably challenging Bajan ‘Amen Corner’. With very competitive green fees and rentals, Barbados Golf Club is considered by many to be the best value for money course in Barbados. Caribbean Basketball Confederation
The Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC) consists of 23 members who are directly affiliated to the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). FIBA has approximately 214 members in five zones throughout the world. The zones are: FIBA Africa, FIBA Americas, FIBA Asia, FIBA Europe and FIBA Oceania, and is recognized as the sole competent authority on basketball by the International Olympic Committee. The Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC) is a Sub-Sub-Zone of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). CBC's membership consists of those national basketball federations of those countries as agreed/assigned by FIBA. The member countries are: Antigua & Barbuda, Aruba, The Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, Puerto Rico, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The CBC General Assembly meets in ordinary session annually, on the last Saturday in January or the first Saturday in February. The executive committee and all FIBA affiliated National Member Federations attends. CBC controls, establishes the Internal Regulations, technically leads and guides the CBC Championships for men and women, between national selections at classifying level. Organizes and controls, in coordination with FIBA the CBC Championships that will classify for the men's and women's Centrobasket Championships and the category of young men and women. Also determining the financial system and the competition system.
