Slovak Football Association (SFA), founded in 1938, is the largest organization in Slovakia with its 427 102 members. SFA ensures regular sporting activity of more than ten thousands of young people within its structure. It is held about matches every week in the towns and villages across the whole country. The first mention of organized football in our area comes from 1893. An important milestone in its development was the emergence of the Czechoslovak Republic. The conditions for sports development were created and the basics for the organization of football in Slovakia were established. The first Slovak football club was 1. Čs. ŠK Bratislava based in 1919. Massive expansion of football began in the postwar period. Significant increase in the number of players, teams, and especially in youth categories may be observed in mentioned period. Bc Prievidza

Basketbalový klub mužov v Prievidzi bol založený v roku 1947 ako Sokol Prievidza. Najcennejší úspech klubu bol titul majstra ČSSR v roku 1989 pod vedením trénera Jána Hluchého. V roku 1993 získala Prievidza posledný federálny titul. Po rozdelení Československa, v samostatnej slovenskej basketbalovej lige získal titul majstra SR v rokoch 1994 a 1995. Prvý výraznejší úspech v novodobej histórii prišiel v sezóne 2008/2009, kedy sa mužstvu podarilo vybojovať bronzové medaily.Sezóna 2011/12 opäť priniesla na výslnie náš klub a BC Prievidza sa po sedemnástich rokoch stal Majstrom SR. Po dvoch druhých miestach v sezónach 2013/2014 a 2014/2015 sa v sezóne 2015/2016 tím BC Prievidza opäť radoval zo zisku titulu. V tomto ročníku účinkovalo družstvo Prievidze aj v Alpsko-adriatickom pohári, kde sa prebojovalo až do záverečného Final Four. Po zisku šiesteho majstrovského titulu v sezóne 2015/2016 štartoval klub po dlhých 25 rokoch v oficiálnej pohárovej súťaži pod hlavičkou FIBA. V domácej súťaži klub získal bronz. Do finále sme sa opäť vrátili v súťažnom ročníku 2018/19, kde sme nestačili na Inter Bratislava. V nasledujúcej sezóne, ktorá sa pre pandémiu koronavírusu nedohrala, sa nám podarilo získať jedinú trofej, ktorú bolo možné, a to Slovenský pohár. Víťazstvo bolo o to sladšie, že sa záverečný turnaj Final Four odohral na našej domácej palubovke v Niké aréne Prievidza. Od zisku titulu v roku 2012 sa klub zaradil k najúspešnejším slovenským klubom. Za posledných 10 rokov sme 5-krát hrali finále a získali šesť medailí a stali sa víťazmi Slovenského pohára.

Slnava Piestany Rowing Club

SLNAVA PIESTANY – A PREMIUM ROWING SPORT CLUB Location The club is situated in Slovakia within the southern part of peaceful world known spa town of Piestany. It has a splendid relaxing atmosphere and providing a great range of facilities for family club. Slnava Rowing Club meets the exacting standards of competition requirements. In addition, the club offers one of the finest facilities within the Central Europe. The river of Vah making use of the 10 kilometres stretch of water, furthermore there is 5 kilometres of use the stretch towards Slnava lake that ends with a dam. Training conditions The club remains committed to all year around training process. We proudly offer excellent off-season training facility. The Club owns gym providing with 20 indoor rowing machines and spinning bikes too. Our base consists of more than 100 members and is open to all levels of rowers for fun, practice, training and competition provided by professional training support. Sport and Social Events During the year the Club organizes “Triple regatta “– meaning three different competitions – international spring regatta, teams’ funny race at the end of season and international indoor regatta as well. Slnava Rowing Club remains committed by offering accommodation for rowing training camps. The accommodation facilities are conveniently located only 300 meters from the Rowing Club.
