The Deanship of Continuing Vocational Education and Training (DCVET) is the Socio-Economic Empowerment Arm of Women and Youth at Palestine Polytechnic University (PPU), established in the year 1989 under the umbrella of PPU Community Service Affairs. تعتبر عمادة التدريب المهني والتعليم المستمر ذراعاً للتمكين المهني في جامعة بوليتكنك فلسطين على أرضية خدمة المجتمع الفلسطيني، حيث تقدّم حزمة متكاملة من الخدمات النوعية بهدف تعزيز فرص التمكين الاقتصادي والاجتماعي على صعيد الأفراد والمؤسسات من خلال برامج التأهيل والتدريب وبناء القدرات ورفع الكفاءة في شتى المجالات وعلى مختلف المستويات المهنية، وبرامج التشغيل والتوظيف الدائم والمؤقت والتدريب مدفوع الأجر، وبرامج الإرشاد والتوجيه المهني والوظيفي لطلبة المدارس والجامعات وحتى الخريجين. تطرح عمادة التدريب المهني والتعليم المستمر ما يزيد على (35 تخصص دبلوم مهني) مدتها عام دراسي واحد وهي معتمدة ومرخصة من الجهات الرسمية الفلسطينية، أبرزها –على سبيل المثال لا الحصر- تكنولوجيا السيارات الحديثة، التمديدات الكهربائية، صياغة الذهب والمجوهرات، التكييف والتبريد، التمديدات الصحية، الأتمتة الصناعية، الخراطة واللحام، الديكور والتصميم الداخلي، التصميم الجرافيكي، المحاسبة المحوسبة، وغيرها. أما على صعيد برامج التدريب على المستوى قصير-متوسط الأمد، فتطرح عمادة التدريب المهني والتعليم المستمر عشرات البرامج التدريبية التخصصية وفي مختلف المجالات بناءً على الاحتياجات التي يتطلبها سوق العمل على صعيد الأفراد والمؤسسات، في مجالات التدريب المهني التخصصي، والمهارات الإدارية، والمهارات اللغوية، والبرمجيات المختلفة، والمهارات الحياتية والشخصية، والمهارات الريادية، وغيرها. وقد التحق بصفوف عمادة التدريب المهني والتعليم المستمر منذ نشأة (التعليم المستمر كمسار تعليمي وتدريبي) ما يزيد على مستفيد حتى يومنا هذا (على صعيد التدريب طويل-متوسط-قصير الأمد)، فيما حقّق المركز قصة نجاح حقيقية على صعيد التوظيف والتشغيل للخريجين، حيث بلغت ما نسبته (85%) على أقل تقدير، كون أن طبيعة البرامج المهنية التي يقدمها المركز بنيت بالشراكة الفاعلة مع مؤسسات سوق العمل، إضافةً إلى انخراط الطلبة خلال مرحلة الدراسة في برامج التدريب على رأس العمل (Work Based Learning).
