Black Hill Outdoor

The Black Hill Outdoor products are made of fine merino wool fibres with thickness between 18 to 23 micrometres. The wool softness is specified by the fibre diameter, which is measured in micrometers (micron). If the number is smaller it means the least micron the fibre has, it also means the softer it is. The merino sheep wool with thickness of 15 to 25 micron is very fine, soft and it has less shine. The wool with fibre thickness of 15 to 21 micron is used to make clothing which is worn next to skin. The fibre thickness is important due to the fact that wool with fibre thickness of 30 to 40 micron is harder, bends with more difficulty, and does not adapt and move around the body like the merino wool fibres. The usual types of sheep raised in Slovakia have fibre thickness of 37 micron and more. The wool with thicker fibres can have unpleasant prickling and itching feeling on the skin. Thinner fibres do not scratch due to the fact that they softly bend when pressed against the skin.

Firma EVA vznikla v roku 1992 a od svojho vzniku sa venuje výrobe drobného pleteného tovaru v Dubnici nad Váhom.
