Institute For Advanced International Studies
The Institute of Advanced International Studies (IAIS) is an independent, international and interdisciplinary research institute within the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) in Uzbekistan. Founded on July 23rd 2022, IAIS is dedicated to creating space for developing research on sundry challenges of international studies. Center For Economic Research And Reforms
The Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) plays a critical role in Uzbekistan's social and economic development. CERR's core tasks involve: Policy Analysis and Reform Proposals: Analyzing and proposing economic reforms, informing economic policies, and improving regulations. Collaboration and Resource Mobilization: Facilitating cooperation among government bodies, businesses, and others to address economic and social challenges, and optimizing resource allocation for development. Regional Development: Studying regional development, making recommendations, and promoting efficient use of local resources. Impact Assessment and Regulatory Improvement: Evaluating the impact of regulations and legal acts, and proposing improvements to reduce burdens on businesses. International Cooperation: Collaborating with international organizations and experts on economic reforms and sharing best practices. Scientific Information Center Of The Interstate Coordination Water Commission Of The Central Asia
Interstate Coordination Water Commission of Central Asia (ICWC) on water resources regulation, rational use and protection was established after signing of the Agreement between Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan on February 18, 1992 in Almaty. The Commission is a parity collective body of Central Asian States acting on the basis of equity, equality and consensus. According to the Decision by the Heads of State of March 23, 1993, ICWC was included in the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (IFAS) and has the status of an international organization. Executive bodies of ICWC are River Basin Authorities (BWOs) Syrdarya and Amudarya, Scientific-Information Center (SIC ICWC), Coordination Metrological Center (CMC ICWC), Training Center (TC ICWC) and Secretariat. SIC ICWC is an information and analytical body, which develops methods and approaches of perspective development, improvement of water management and ecological situation in the basin. SIC ICWC is collaborating with a network of scientific and design organizations of the five countries of Central Asia, has national branches in other four countries which, in turn, organize scientific and information exchange at the national level. Information comes to SIC ICWC from all over the world, it is processed, translated and disseminated among all water sectors within Central Asia.

Chapter Zero Uzbekistan
Chapter Zero Uzbekistan is the first Chapter in Central Asia driving climate governance initiative forward. It is a strategic program implemented in collaboration with the Westminster International University in Tashkent, acting as a host organization, with the full support of the Climate Governance Initiative (CGI). Our goal is to build a community of non-executive directors and senior leadership and equip them to lead crucial boardroom discussions on the impacts of climate change. Chapter Zero Uzbekistan members will help ensure their companies are fit for the future and that net zero ambitions are transformed into robust plans and measurable action. We aim to enable members of corporate supervisory and management boards in Uzbekistan to engage in addressing climate change and look for ways to achieve net zero emissions in the coming years. It is a project that meets expectations for elevating sustainable development issues to the highest levels of corporate leadership which impacts our reality and future.
