The Institute for Sustainability Africa (INŚAF) is a not for profit multi-disciplinary independent think tank and research institute established in 2010 'to advance sustainability initiatives for Africa'. Our Mission is to foster sustainability initiatives and innovations towards green economy, sustainable development and living through applied research and technical support services across sectors. We serve to provide the strongest possible professional focus and dedication to be an international centre of excellence in sustainability and sustainable development in Africa.

SIVIO is a non-partisan, independent, social and economic, justice-focused think-tank working across Southern Africa. We are committed to the vision of achieving inclusive societies, and our task is to influence policy processes through evidence-based advocacy and practices of development. We are passionate about ensuring that citizens are at the centre of policy development. Our work entails multi-disciplinary, cutting-edge policy research and advocacy. We carry out this work through three centres of work namely: 1. Centre for Civic Engagement 2. Centre for Economic Development and Livelihoods 3. Centre for Philanthropy and Communities We produce knowledge and integrate our knowledge with an understanding of technology to ensure that citizens have access to information which supports frontline advocacy organisations and networks. As of 2024, our programming footprint is in 16 African countries. Our work is centred on addressing the following problems challenging the African continent. Inadequate performance of the existing political system, 2. Increasing poverty and inequality, 3. Limited coherence of policies across sectors, 4. Ineffectual participation in public processes by non-state actors, 5. Increased dependence on external resources and limited leveraging of local resources.
