The Youth Ethiopia Road Safety Association (YERSA) is an association devoted to empowering young people in the field of road safety. Reducing road traffic crashes needs dedicated efforts and great cooperation from all stakeholders. It will be quicker to achieve the goal if the youth are involved, as they are the victims and risk-takers in road traffic crashes. In response to this and similar core issues, the Youth Ethiopia Road Safety Association was established in 2020. In compliance with Civil Society Proclamation number it is legally registered with registration number 5506/2021 with the goal of increasing the significant role and improving the skill of young people in the sector to provide a better understanding of road safety. YERSA is dedicated to building capacity for the youth community by generating awareness, advocating for evidence-based public policy and programming, and maintaining a national network of young road safety professionals and advocators.
