תחבורה היום ומחר הינו הארגון המקצועי המוביל בחברה האזרחית בישראל בתחום התחבורה בת-קיימא ובעל ניסיון רב שנים בתחום. משימתנו העיקרית היא לשנות את מדיניות התחבורה בישראל ולעודד פיתוח ושימוש מערכות תחבורה אלטרנטיביות כגון תחבורה ציבורית, הליכה ברגל, רכיבה באופניים, שיתוף רכב ושיתוף נסיעות, ועוד. עבודתנו מתרכזת בעריכת מחקרים, מסמכי מדיניות ומדריכים מקצועיים, בתהליכי עבודה מול מקבלי החלטות ברמה ארצית ומקומית, כולל הכשרות למהנדסי הערים, ובסיוע לקבוצות תושבים. תחבורה היום ומחר עורכת מדי שנה את הכנס המרכזי של יום התחבורה הציבורית הבינלאומי, ומובילה את פורום ארגוני החברה האזרחית הפועלים בתחום התחבורה. בקרב מעגל אנשי הצוות ומתנדבי הארגון נכללים אנשי מקצוע מהשורה הראשונה בתחום התחבורה בישראל. הארגון בעל מוניטין מקצועי, קשרים ושיתופי פעולה עם גורמי המפתח בישראל בתחום התחבורה - משרדי ממשלה, רשויות מקומיות, אקדמיה, חברות התחבורה הציבורית וחברה אזרחית, המאפשרים לנו יכולת השפעה על תהליכי קבלת ההחלטות, והשתתפות בועדות ממשלתיות ובכתיבת מסמכי מדיניות רשמיים. הארגון הקים ומנהל תשתית אינטרנטית ענפה לתקשורת עם הציבור ולאיסוף מידע. Transport Today and Tomorrow was founded in 1998, in order to change transportation policy in Israel and promote the development of a sustainable transportation system which is based on high-quality public transport, walking, cycling, carpooling and other alternatives to the private car. Our mission is to encourage and assist the State of Israel in implementing these various transport solutions, aimed at reaching the needs of all its residents and securing the social and economic growth of underprivileged communities and peripheral towns. Transport Today and Tomorrow is the leading civil organization in the field of transportation and serves as a bridge between organizations and local grassroots activists in this field and the Ministries of Transport and Finance.
