Servio - Iceland - Transportation
Servio – is a high-end transportations service and specialized security company operating in Iceland. It started as a division at Securitas hf in June 2013 by decision by the CEO of Securitas Iceland, Guðmundur Arason, and our current managing director Haukur Bent Sigmarsson. Securitas hf. was founded in 1979 and has been a pioneer in the field of security and guarding services from the very beginning. It is still Iceland’s leading company in the field and strives to provide only state-of-the-art services and complete solutions. Securitas HF offers a wide range of security services channeled through three business units, namely Manned Security, Alarm Monitoring and Technical Department. These units all share a mutual office and overhead. The total number of employees is approximately 400, out of which about 60 are technicians and 25 are in the sales team. Top management personnel have been with the company for up to 30 years. From January 1st 2016 Luxury Transport became a subsidiary Securitas hf and today we operate Luxury Transport through the company Servio Luxury Transport. Servio is latin and it means “I serve” which is a good definition of what we stand for. Although we have not been in service for long, Servio Luxury Transport is the leading transportation company in Iceland when it comes to luxury and high end tourism.

Strætó Bs
Strætó bs.(byggðasamlag) er í eigu 6 sveitarfélaga sem mynda höfuðborgarsvæðið (Reykjavík, Kópavogur, Hafnarfjörður, Garðabær, Mosfellsbær og Seltjarnarnes). Fyrirtækið rekur gulu almenningsvagnana sem ganga um höfuðborgarsvæðið ásamt því að sjá um akstur strætisvagna fyrir ýmis landshlutasamtök utan höfuðborgarsvæðisins. Strætó sér einnig um rekstur ferðaþjónustu fatlaðs fólks og aldraðra á höfuðborgarsvæðinu. The public bus network in Iceland is called Strætó. Our public buses have a distinct yellow color and they are easily recognizable on the streets. Strætó is owned and operated by the six municipalities which make up the capital area (Reykjavík, Kópavogur, Garðabær, Hafnarfjörður, Mosfellsbær and Seltjarnarnes).
