Who we are PIMCO Kft. is building a glass wool factory with an annual capacity of tons in Szerencs on Prügyi út, which will provide work for approximately 100 people. The recruitment will take place in 2024 in parallel with the construction and technology installation, with test production starting at the end of 2024. The investment is of high economic importance and the IPPC shows that the activity is in line with the best available technology (BAT) for the sector, including an electric melter, a Wet Electrostatic precipitator (WESP) and a water treatment system. The company will produce thermal and acoustic insulation glass wool roll and board products, mainly for the building industry. The raw materials, as quartz sand, soda ash, feldspar, dolomite, borax and limestone will be delivered to the site in silo trucks and in big-bag, while the secondary raw material will be recycled glass cullet, delivered by bulk trucks. As well as the binder itself is BIO based (dextrose) and it is stored and produced separately. The factory will be environmentally friendly in its use of green energy as well, the electricity demand will be supported by a solar panel system.
