System Group” was created in a small town inland of Pesaro as a result of an idea by entrepreneur Alvaro Boscarini who, in 1979, had founded Centraltubi. The group was formed at the start of the 1990’s when, after 12 years as a leader in the production of polyethylene pipes, Centraltubi was joined by Futura, a company operating in the pipe fittings, accessories and specials market. These were to be the first steps on the road to success which, in the following years, saw the birth of five other important businesses: Sa.Mi Plastic in the smooth polyethylene pipe sector, Pebo in plastics machining, Italiana Corrugati producing corrugated polyethylene pipes, Rototec in the rotational moulding sector and Mecsystem, the group’s engineering department. These seven well-integrated companies soon made their presence felt in the commercial and production sector, offering their clientele a range of solutions able to satisfy all the construction needs of underground networks for conveying fluids and for the passage of cables. With the latest high-tech machinery and employing highly qualified well-informed personnel right from the start, the factories were soon able to provide products of the highest quality. In response to the ever increasing demand, System Group then expanded its sales network to other European countries, with the construction of new production facilities in Spain with Futura Systems, in France with System Group France and in Romania with Sa.Mi Plastic Romania. OBIETTIVO L’obiettivo è la riduzione del leadtime di servizio al cliente, ottimizzando al contempo l’uso delle risorse umane e scorte dei materiali. Gli ambiti identificati per le finalità dell’intervento sono vari: Lean Production Si richiede un miglioramento della gestione delle scorte dei materiali che causano un impatto negativo in produzione e creando inefficienza nei cicli produttivi. Sistemi Informativi E’ necessario implementare un pacchetto di gestione delle scorte e pianificazione della produzione nell’ERP aziendale. Gestione dell’Inventario e della Logistica aziendale utilizzando anche gli strumenti indicati nei punti precedenti elencati. RISULTATI L’adozione di un software per la pianificazione della produzione realizzerà il controllo degli stock intermedi e l’ottimizzare la gestione delle scorte. L’ampliamento delle attrezzature per il robot asservitore dell’officina ha lo scopo di efficientare la produzione di codici a stock e migliorare la gestione della produzione in officina. The spirit of Polyglass has deep roots. It all began with the hard work of three brothers who committed themselves to the production of roof coverings in the 60s. Thanks to an intuition to combine many different materials, such as bitumen and polymers, the business became a small industry. This consequently grew to an industrial scale and was the beginning of an expansion which also saw Polyglass present in the United States with its own manufacturing facility.
