Iraq Altaqa
The Iraq Altaqa Bitumen Production Plant is strategically located 20 km south of Karbala, in close proximity to the Karbala Refinery. Currently in the development phase, this advanced facility will incorporate the latest design and control systems to ensure optimal performance. The plant is specifically designed for the efficient production of bitumen, with a processing capacity of two streams capable of producing metric tons per day each, resulting in a total production capacity of metric tons per day. The primary focus is on producing high-quality paving-grade bitumen that meets international standards. In addition to the main product Bitumen, the plant will also generate by-products such as LHVO (Light Vacuum Gas Oil) and HVGO (Heavy Vacuum Gas Oil). These by-products contribute to the overall efficiency and value of the plant's operations. To maximize productivity and meet market demands, the Bitumen Production Plant is designed for continuous production, operating 24 hours a day. This translates to a total of operating hours per year, ensuring a steady supply of bitumen for various applications.
