Down The Rabbit Hole Wines
We believe that a truly great bottle of wine, shared with friends and lovers, has the ability to transform a seemingly ordinary day or evening into something pretty special. It's this experience we are set on sharing, and we aim to do so with delicious wine and with everything that our wine is a part of. We love wine. We love making it, tasting it and drinking it, and we are passionate about the art of winemaking. We’ve created a series of wines, each of which are exactly what we look for in a perfect bottle. Our vineyard is located in McLaren Vale, where we enjoy the complexity of the amazing maritime climate. Warm summer days are cooled by evening sea breezes, and our rich soils deliver full flavours in the grapes. Our head winemaker, Walter Clappis, is one of Australia’s most outstanding, award winning winemakers, and the rest of our team includes a group of exciting, creative young winemakers and wine lovers, and together we are committed to creating something wonderful. On the back of every bottle is a poem, and each hand sketched label represents a different line. We want the experience to begin before you even open the bottle, and not to end until the last drop has been had, and you, happy and content, are exhausted from dancing, laughing, talking, drinking or eating, or perhaps all of these together. Down The Rabbit Hole is a winery which aims to inspire imagination with an attitude of adventure, inviting drinkers to join in on something special.

Our focus is simple: to make expressive, approachable wines that we love to drink and share—wines that reflect the beauty and character of this place. We believe wine should speak of its origins, and ours tell the story of the Hills. From the beginning, we had a vision to create more than just a winery—we wanted to offer an experience. Our cellar door and gardens were thoughtfully created to bring people together over good wine, delicious food, and shared moments. Whether you're tasting your way through our range, enjoying a long lunch in our sandstone barn, or discovering one of our immersive experiences, we invite you to slow down and connect with the landscape, the wine, and each other. Tarrawarra Estate
Founders Marc and Eva Besen purchased the property at TarraWarra Estate in 1979, initially as a family retreat. Thanks to their love of the wines of Burgundy, and with encouragement from legendary Yarra Valley winemaker Dr John Middleton, they planted the first 6 hectares of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in 1983. Forty years on, the 400-hectare property now encompasses 26 hectares of vines, an extensive nature reserve, cattle grazing, a kitchen garden and our beautiful cellar door and restaurant. The vision to create and share a unique and beautiful place is driven by gratitude to this country that opened its arms and homes when Marc Besen arrived in 1947. Together we strive to fulfil his vision for TarraWarra Estate, as custodians, we are defined by heritage and a deep sense of place. The TarraWarra Estate vineyards are managed by Stuart Sissins, Chris Beard and their team. Chris commenced with TarraWarra Estate in September 2023 when we took over the long-term lease of Swallowfield vineyard in Gembrook. Their knowledge of every site on both properties is a constant in informing the decisions of the future. While TarraWarra Estate is best known for exceptional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, more recent additions have attracted much attention. These include Shiraz, Barbera and Nebbiolo. TarraWarra Estate’s respect for sustainability and provenance make the property an internationally recognised place to visit in the Yarra Valley. Our subterranean cellar door provides an unforgettable tasting experience, while the deck shaded by peppercorn trees, and with expansive views of our surrounds, is the perfect place to linger over a glass of wine. Our one-hat restaurant, with Head Chef Maxwell Parlas, have created a wonderful dining experience with a menu inspired by our kitchen garden and local suppliers. Garbin Estate Wines
Family History: Duje Garbin,(would have been 100yrs old May 2009-but passed away May 2008), learnt his winemaking in between fishing on a small island, Solta, in the Adriatic Sea, just off the Dalmatian coast. It was basic stuff, but ideally suited to the family needs. As a migrant to Western Australia in 1937, he was soon to continue his craft, after a stint working on his brother’s Spearwood market garden. Money saved, he purchased a property at Millendon in the Swan Valley, and then moving to Middle Swan in 1956. The Garbin business was built up on bulk wine, some gallons a year, delivered around the suburbs or purchased by customers visiting the property. It was traditional winemaking and marketing for the times, catering mainly for a keen southern European demand, like other small Swan Valley producers. Location: GEW is located in the historic Swan Valley in the Swan District Region of the Greater Perth Zone. It has easy access to Perth CBD and Perth domestic and international airports. Vineyards: The Swan Valley vineyard has sand over clay and includes premium red varieties of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a white Chenin Blanc. All of which are well suited to growing in the Swan Valley. The vines are between 20 and 60 years old. The Gingin vineyard has been planted to premium varieties of reds - Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese and whites - Verdelho, Chardonnay and Semillon. Soil conditions of rich, red gravelly loam and cooler night temperatures as compared to the Swan Valley vineyard is now seeing an added dimension to the quality of GEW’s premium wine range. Outlook: Each year, GEW’s production capacity is increasing and each successive year GEW is accumulating wine awards and in particular from the Swan Valley Regional Wine Show. Over the past 15 years GEW has developed an eclectic corporate client list along with a loyal cellar door client database, retail and some exclusive restaurants and winery venue event hire.

Hidden Creek Winery
Hidden Creek Winery is situated in the beautiful rugged high altitude hills of Queensland’s Granite Belt at over metres above sea level (making it one of Australia's highest vineyards). The Granite Belt has warm summers & bitterly cold winters so this climate, together with the arid granite rocky soils, draws similar comparisons to high regions close to the Mediterranean such as north-eastern Spain, the inland south-west of France around Cahors and Gaillac, and the upper Rhone Valley in France. These regions have a tradition of unique characterful wines that are wonderful accompaniments to food and at Hidden Creek we have adopted the grape varieties and inspiration of these regions. The outcome of our vineyard site, climate and culture produces wines that taste unique to our region. The people of France call this “Terroir” but there may just be an Indigenous term for this concept to explain why a wine has a certain taste not just because of the variety and vineyard management but because of its place. When we find that term we will let you know! In the meantime, Hidden Creek is definately worth seeking for yourself.
