About
On the record
The Bekaa Valley is one of the most interesting places on earth to produce wine, and I am very lucky to be a winemaker in this amazing terroir. I am a believer that wine is mostly made at the vineyard. Therefore I made sure to learn everything I could about soil, climate and viticulture while studying Agriculture engineering. My dream was always to produce wines that are marked with a unique identity, that of the Bekaa Valley’s terroir. This is why my FYP was to conduct a full terroir study on 11 different vineyards of the Bekaa Valley in order to have a better understanding of the interactions within the components of the terroir. On the other hand I made sure to develop my winemaking knowledge and skills from different studies and internships at the family’s estate, first with my father as well as our consultant winemakers and also at other estates in France and Lebanon. In addition, my passion is also to discover wines from all over the world and meet people who share the same passion. This lead me to join the CIVS at the Burgundy School of Business and conclude my studies with a 6 months internship in Hong-Kong, one the world’s most dynamic wine markets. Tamara Gebara and I recently took over the family’s estate and are now committed to producing distinctive wines where our terroirs express themselves freely. PS: I admire Burgundy’s wines and consider them the best.
