I've spent a long time in technical finance roles and a not insignificant amount of time in operational and commercial roles and I think I've got that rare combination of leadership experience in both. I'm maybe not 'gamekeeper turned poacher' but I've definitely got a well rounded approach to business. I actually think that the thing that sets me apart isn't my work experience but rather the way that I interact with people. People are everything and people run businesses. If you look after them, develop them, coach and nurture them and 'sell the dream' to them then life will be easy and ultimately, that's where we all want to get to!
