Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) was established in 1959 under Statistics Act, 2015 BS as the central agency for the collection, consolidation, processing, analysis, publication and dissemination of statistics. It is under the National Planning Commission Secretariat (NPCS) of Nepal and serves as a national statistical organization of Government of Nepal. It generates timely and reliable socio-economic statistics mainly through the operation of censuses and surveys. The main objective of setting up CBS is to avail data to NPCS and other Government agencies for the formulation of national plans, policies and also produces national account estimates to measure the economic growth of the country. It carries out different household surveys and censuses regularly to assess the socio- economic condition of the country. The major tasks, which CBS has been performing, are decennial population census, agriculture census and quinquennial manufacturing establishment census. In addition, many household surveys like living standard surveys, labor force surveys and multiple indicator surveillance are indispensable tasks, which CBS has been accomplishing. The role of the CBS is always decisive for the effective functioning of the national statistical system as a whole. It promotes collaborative research efforts among members of academic community, data producers and users. It has a prominent role in developing statistical system and maintaining statistical standard in the country.

Millennium Challenge Account Nepal
The Millennium Challenge Account Nepal (MCA-Nepal) is a Government of Nepal (GoN) agency, formed under the Development Board Act 2013 BS (1956 AD) in order to manage a USD 697 million infrastructure program. The program is co-funded by the U.S. Government’s Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact grant of USD 500 million and the GoN’s contribution of USD 197 million. The program aims to increase the availability and reliability of electricity, maintain road quality and facilitate power trade between Nepal and the region to help spur investments and accelerate economic growth. The Electricity Transmission Project, a national pride project, and the Road Maintenance Project are two projects under the program.

Nepal Engineering Council
Nepal Engineering Council was formed under the Nepal Engineering Council Act, 2055 promulgated by His Majesty the King on B.S. 2055/11/27 (11th March, A.D.). As per the Act, NEC has been vested with the statutory authority for the planning, coordinated development and monitoring of engineering profession and education in the country. NEC Act 2055 gives an outline on the formation of the Council, its tenure and the roles and responsibilities of the Chairman, Vice Chairman and the Registrar. Nepal Engineering Council Rules, 2057 has also been prepared and approved by His Majesty's Government as per the provision of Clause 37 of the Act. It defines the registration of engineers into three categories as well as the formats for application: a) General Registered Engineer b) Professional Engineer c) non - Nepali Registered Engineer NEC Rules 2057 also lays down the professional code of conduct for engineers registered with the Council. The first Executive Council was formed on Magh 2056 under the chairmanship of Er. Ram Babu Sharma and completed its tenure on Magh 2060.

Jeetpursimara is a Sub-Metropolitan City (JSMC) in Bara District of Madhesh Province situated in southern Nepal, usually known as Terai that was formed on 10th March, 2017.
