Maxwell Investments Group
THE PROBLEM: Statistics tell us that there are 490 million people in Africa who are living in extreme poverty. Poverty in and of itself is impeding as it stands, but 36% of the total population of an entire continent are neither numbers to be overlooked or under-utilised. Despite the fact that viable companies exist all over Africa, and the fact that the continent houses the youngest population on the planet and in exemplary numbers, poverty remains on the rise. THE SOLUTION: A trusty but potentially challenging solution would be to engage in mammoth-scale social entrepreneurship, which would ignite and sustain the creation of what we call "micro-economies" within low-come communities and for Persons of Concern (POCs). We briefly define POCs to be persons living below minimum wage, and other persons growing poorer and poorer by default, year in, year out. We recall to memory that the African population, by definition, by default, and by design, is primarily and largely entrepreneurial. Ergo, impacting the (momentarily) underprivileged may take on several forms. THE MISSION: Maxwell Investments Group (MIG) vehemently believes that social entrepreneurship is the solution here. Social entrepreneurship secures both monetary returns and the communal development essential to half a billion people in Africa and many more beyond. Towards this solution, MIG is a leading supplier of impact services and products within Africa and expanding worldwide. We are operational in Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Burkina Faso, Togo, Zambia, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Delaware & London (more soon). We engineer or re-engineer services and products, yours and ours, and deploy our supply chain and market capture strategies that feed into the Triple Bottom Line, as we create ESG-centric solutions and contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). When you can reach more people and garner goodwill and impact along the way, do both!
