ARTZUID 2025 ENLIGHTENMENT | May 21 to September 21 Join and Support The 9th edition of the Amsterdam Sculpture Biennale ARTZUID 2025 will take place from 21 May to 21 September 2025. The curated group exhibition, entitled ENLIGHTENMENT, showcases 60 sculptures by 50 internationally renowned artists and Dutch talents on the leafy lanes of Apollolaan, Minervalaan and Zuidas. We invite and encourage companies to join and support ARTZUID. Arrange bespoke tours of the sculptures, attend special artist talks and get together for drinks and snacks at the event cafe. Sculptures connect people, and ignite discussions and conversations, that lead to better understanding. By placing sculptures in the monumental Plan Zuid by architect H.P. Berlage, ARTZUID establishes a link between contemporary art and the urban cultural heritage. ARTZUID creates a new meeting place in public spaces. ARTZUID attracts visitors in four months and has an extensive educational program with a total visiting pupils. Media art LI-MA has its own collection spanning five decades and consisting of more than 3,500 artworks and an archive of sixty years of media art in the Netherlands. Brutus Artist Driven Playground
BRUTUS is a multidisciplinary playground for the arts and the largest contemporary art exhibition and performance space in the Netherlands. BRUTUS is an artist-driven playground, a space where artists are given carte blanche to experiment. An initiative of AVL Mundo, the not-for-profit organization founded in 2008 by artist Joep van Lieshout to offer artists a unique opportunity to develop and exhibit projects without traditional boundaries. The former industrial complex at Keileweg includes exhibition spaces, an artist in residency, and the BRUTUS Garden. BRUTUS uses its architecture as a collaborative material to inform its multi-disciplinary program. Host to complicated installations, challenging performances, massive group shows and impressive solo exhibitions, BRUTUS offers artists time, space, freedom, and funds to experiment, perform and exhibit at a massive scale.

We do this through a continuous programme, consisting of exhibitions, publications, public events and educational projects. Just as systems are made of fossilised stories, we work together with artists to tell stories that will shape the systems of the near future. Using imagination and climate action, RADIUS focusses on shaping the blueprints for regenerative and sustainable more-than-human worlds. RADIUS is located in the city of Delft and stationed in the pump house and water basin belonging to the Delft water tower, a historical national monument and architectural landmark. With five hundred square meters of subterranean exhibition space, our program is dedicated to the intersection of art, science and ecology. We believe that artists have an essential role in identifying, critiquing and shaping the narrative around climate change and ecological degradation, not necessarily in aiding science with visible solutions but to pose moral and ethical questions around what it means to be alive today. In our program we thus welcome artists and other practitioners that rigorously approach urgent ecological challenges, including climate breakdown, pollution, biodiversity loss, environmental and social justice.

Since 1988, IMPAKT [Centre for Media Culture] presents critical and creative views on contemporary media culture and on innovative audio-visual arts in an interdisciplinary context. Our aim is to identify urgent issues in digital and transglobal culture, by focusing on the relationship between society, media, technology and arts. Throughout the year we organize a variety of activities, such as IMPAKT Works, a residency programme, and IMPAKT Events, a regular series of exhibitions, panels, artist-talks, presentations and screenings centering on a given theme, movement, or artists. Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen is an art museum in Museumpark, Rotterdam, with a world-class collection of old masters, modern and contemporary art, applied arts and design. From Bosch, Rembrandt and Van Gogh to Dalí, Kusama, Basquiat and Dutch Design, there’s something for everyone. In 2019 the museum building closed for renovation and rejuvenation. Stadsmuseum
In het Stadsmuseum Harderwijk kan men de belangrijkste elementen uit de rijke en veelzijdige geschiedenis van Harderwijk bezichtigen. Het Stadsmuseum Harderwijk is ondergebracht in een uitgebouwd achttiende-eeuws herenhuis in het centrum van de stad. Een Louis XVI-stijlkamer en het trappenhuis herinneren nog aan het oorspronkelijke interieur van dit riante pand. De eerste tentoonstelling werd in 1931 georganiseerd naar aanleiding van het 700-jarige bestaan van de stad. Sinds die tijd heeft het museum vele veranderingen ondergaan en heeft het zich een plek verworven in de geschiedenis van Harderwijk.

Buitenplaats Doornburgh is een bijzondere buitenplaats vlakbij Utrecht. Doornburgh opende in 2018 haar deuren voor het publiek. Bezoekers zijn welkom om een kopje koffie te drinken en te wandelen. Ook is het mogelijk om een bijeenkomst te organiseren, zoals een vergadering of een bruiloft. Het park is elke dag gratis geopend.

Bureau Europa, Platform Voor Architectuur En Design
Bureau Europa werd in 2006 opgericht als NAi Maastricht, een dependance van het voormalige Nederlands Architectuurinstituut (NAi) in Rotterdam. Sinds 2013 opereert de organisatie onafhankelijk als Bureau Europa, platform voor architectuur en design. Als presentatieplatform en netwerkorganisatie presenteert Bureau Europa tentoonstellingen, lezingen, workshops, rondleidingen door de stad en andere discursieve activiteiten op het gebied van architectuur, stedenbouw en vormgeving. Vanuit een maatschappelijk perspectief wil Bureau Europa kennisproductie en talentontwikkeling bevorderen binnen het culturele domein. Bureau Europa richt zich primair op de gedeelde sociale agenda van Europa en de Euregio Maas-Rijn. De Boterhal
Kunstcentrum De Boterhal is gevestigd in het voormalige Sint Jans Gasthuis. Omdat dit monumentale pand uit 1563 vanaf de twintiger jaren enige tijd heeft dienstgedaan als botermarkt, heet het in de volksmond De Boterhal. In dit prachtig gerestaureerde gebouw ontplooit Kunstenaarsvereniging Hoorn en omstreken sinds 1982 haar activiteiten, zoals-spraakmakende verkooptentoonstellingen in de expositieruimte alsmede in de vitrine van de entree -kunstuitleen van werk door leden -wisselende exposities in de exclusief voor de vereniging gereserveerde galerie van het Westfriesgasthuis -aaneengesloten mini-exposities in de vitrine in de hal van het gemeentehuis -minimaal zes Zondagmiddagsalons per jaar door verenigingsleden of externe exposanten -educatieve workshops door leden

Nederlands Steendrukmuseum Dutch Museum Of Lithography
The Dutch Museum of Lithography is the world's only graphic museum where one can discover all aspects of stone printing and lithography. Stoneprinting or lithography was invented by Alois Senefelder in 1798. Senefelder’s invention brought about the second great revolution after the invention of the art of printing by Johann Gutenberg: the ultimate technique for mass printing images of all sizes. Today, most high-volume books and magazines, especially when illustrated in colour, are printed with offset lithography, which has become the most common form of printing technology since the 1960s. And did you know that the microchip would not have been invented without lithography? In the Dutch Museum of Lithography, visitors can experience all the historical, artistics and technical sides of lithography. And try this phenomenal invention out for yourself in our workshop!

Stichting Behoud Hedendaagse Kunst
De Stichting Behoud Hedendaagse Kunst (SBHK) houdt zich sinds 1995 bezig met projecten op het gebied van het beheer en behoud van hedendaagse beeldende kunst. Doel is het ontwikkelen van 'good practice' waarvan alle belanghebbenden profijt kunnen hebben. Dit gebeurt in samenwerkingsverbanden met collectiebeheerders, conservatoren en restauratoren. Vragen uit het veld over uiteenlopende problemen (materiaaltechnisch, ethisch) komen hierbij aan de orde. Hoe ga je bijvoorbeeld om met vergankelijke materialen of een complexe installatie? Welke rol spelen de kunstenaar en het museum in deze problematiek? De SBMK initieert projecten, maakt de uitvoering ervan mede mogelijk en zorgt dat de verkregen informatie toegankelijk wordt voor vakgenoten.

Moon Gallery Foundation
Moon Gallery is where art and space meet. We aim to set up the first permanent museum on the Moon and develop a culture for future interplanetary society. Moon Gallery will launch 100 artefacts to the Moon within the compact format of 10 x 10 x 1cm plate on a lunar lander exterior panelling no later than 2025. We suggest bringing this collection of ideas as the seeds of a new culture. We believe that culture makes a distinction between mere survival and life. Moon Gallery is a symbolic gesture that has a real inuence – a way to reboot culture, rethink our values for better living on Earth planet. We hope to bring the best of humanity to the Moon and to bring the benefits of the Moon to all people on Earth through a sustainable exploration process. Our initiatives connect Art, Moon, Mars and beyond. This includes the organisation of meetings, workshops, art-science-space classes and projects at various universities, sessions at international conferences, art exhibitions, musical and visual performances.

Marie Tak Van Poortvliet Museum Domburg
In het Marie Tak van Poortvliet museum in Domburg staat de (klassiek) moderne schilderkunst centraal, met enerzijds een accent op de kunst die ruim honderd jaar geleden in Domburg ontstond en anderzijds het fenomeen kunstenaarskolonie – klassiek en hedendaags – als speerpunt. Het museum is een kopie van het in 1921 door wind en stormen verloren gegane kunstzaaltje van Jan Toorop, dat schuin tegenover het Badpaviljoen stond. Het museum staat sinds zijn oprichting in 1994 enigszins verborgen als een oase van rust in het centrum van de badplaats. Er zijn jaarlijks minstens twee wisseltentoonstellingen te bezoeken en het museum heeft een kleine beeldentuin.

Westfries Museum
The Westfries Museum has been housed in the former Statencollege since 1881: a national monument from 1632 in the heart of the historic port city of Hoorn. The monumental housing gives the museum a special character. Together, the collection and the building tell the story of the cultural history of Hoorn and West Friesland, with the emphasis on the most exciting period in that history: the 17th century. Just like in our temporary exhibitions, we like to mirror the present to the past. The museum is currently closed for a long period of time due to a major renovation and renovation. But online and in the city we continue to tell the story about the history of Hoorn and West Friesland. Via our (temporary) website, our newsletter and social media. Deventer Verhaal is de erfgoedpartner van Deventer. Sinds 2014 zetten wij ons in voor de zichtbaarheid, waardering en behoud van ons gemeentelijk erfgoed. We hebben de missie om de rijke geschiedenis van de prachtige Hanzestad Deventer met een breed publiek te delen. Dit doen we met een gevarieerd, inspirerend en aantrekkelijk programma van exposities en activiteiten in Museum De Waag en Speelgoedmuseum Deventer maar ook op andere locaties in de stad en omliggende dorpen. Deventer Verhaal is er voor iedereen, jong en oud, die zich wil laten verrijken met intrigerende verhalen over de geschiedenis van het historische en hedendaagse Deventer. Als zelfstandige en verbindende erfgoedpartner werken we ook nauw samen met andere Deventer organisaties en organiseren we jaarlijks verschillende evenementen zoals Open Monumentendag, Kelderfest en Nacht van Goud. Deventer Verhaal opereert onder aansturing van directeur Ewout van der Horst. Naast circa 20 betaalde medewerkers (14 fte) zijn er vele vrijwilligers werkzaam bij de stichting.

Met transparantie als vertrekpunt en vanuit de idealistische overtuiging dat jonge, nog onbekende, kunst een plek verdient om gezien te worden, is MOYA een springplank voor hedendaagse kunstenaars. Er bevinden zich 2 ruime kunsthallen van 1800 m2 met natuurlijk daglicht. Te bewonderen is het werk van 38 kunstenaars, waar diversiteit centraal staat. Van schilderkunst, beeldhouwkunst en textielkunst tot fotografie en digitale kunst.

Nationaal Fietsmuseum Velorama
Nationaal Fietsmuseum Velorama beheert de meest belangrijke fietsencollectie ter wereld. Meer dan 500 rijwielen tonen de geschiedenis van de fiets van de eerste draisines uit 1817 tot de moderne racefiets. Daarnaast fungeert het museum als kennisinstituut met een groot archief, memorabilia en beelddocumentatie.

Stichting De Speelfabriek
Bij de Speelafbriek kunnen kinderen van 4 tot 12 jaar met écht gereedschap en échte materialen bootjes, zeepjes auto’s, frietjes en nog veel meer zelf maken, en zo ontdekken hoe leuk met je eigen handen zelf bouwen en uitvinden is. We zijn de leukste uitvindspeeltuin van Rotterdam om samen met je ouders of met school naar toe te komen.

Nationaal Museum Tachtigjarige Oorlog
Een nieuw erfgoedmuseum over de Tachtigjarige Oorlog in de Oude Calixtus in Groenlo, vestingstad in het hart van de Achterhoek Toen in de zomer van 1627 de troepen van stadhouder Frederik Hendrik voor de vesting Grol (Groenlo) verschenen, was de verrassing voor het kleine Spaanse garnizoen compleet. De vestingstad werd niet direct bestormd maar binnen een paar weken werd een wal met gracht op een afstand van drie kilometer om de stad heen gegraven. Oorlogsvoering nieuwe stijl, bedacht door de militaire ingenieurs van Frederik Hendrik; niet aanvallen, maar omsluiten en zo de stad dwingen tot overgave. Frederik Hendrik legde hiermee de basis voor zijn latere bijnaam: ‘de Stedendwinger’. Dit unieke andere verhaal vormt het uitgangspunt voor het nieuwe museum. Het bredere verhaal over de Tachtigjarige Oorlog in de Achterhoek gaat over de cruciale strijd die in de Achterhoek wordt uitgevochten voor de vrijheid en onafhankelijkheid van de republiek en het huidige Nederland. Maar ook over de raakvlakken met de 30-jarige oorlog die in de Duitse gebieden vernietigende gevolgen had voor de boerenbevolking en de steden. Holland beleeft z’n ‘Gouden Eeuw’, maar Groenlo is in 1627 wereldnieuws. In Museum 1627 heeft de bezoeker met zijn microfoon en koptelefoon de hoofdrol. Als onderzoeksjournalist kijkt en luistert hij goed om zich heen en met de microfoon worden pratend objecten ondervraagd om de geschiedenis te reconstrueren. Bezoekers kunnen op deze manier hun eigen verhaal vormen op basis van verschillende invalshoeken en de nieuwste mediatechnieken. Wat is het echte andere verhaal? Het museum is hiermee een beleving voor het gezin én erfgoedliefhebbers en vormt een verbinding en uitvalsbasis naar de hotspots in de omgeving.

Het Gouverneurshuis
Het Gouverneurshuis is de kunstzinnige pleisterplaats in de Vesting Heusden. In het monumentale Gouverneurshuis van 1692 met haar bijzondere, ommuurde tuin bevindt zich het 60 jaar oude historische museum. Tijdens de wisselende exposities wordt ook regelmatig hedendaagse kunst tentoongesteld. In de Gildenzaal vinden meerdere keren per maand podiumkunsten, lezingen, films en zelfs trouwplechtigheden plaats. In de tuin zijn er zomers concerten en podiumkunsten, maar kun je vooral ook genieten van een heerlijk rustig kopje koffie met taartje. Een oase in de historische vesting, 330 jaar jong.
