The Freedom Theatre
The Freedom Theatre - a theatre and cultural centre in Jenin Refugee Camp - is developing a vibrant artistic community of theatre and multimedia in the north of the West Bank in occupied Palestine. While emphasizing professionalism and innovation, the aim of the theatre is also to empower youth and women in the community and to explore the potential of arts as a catalyst for social change.

By providing a top-level musical education, the Barenboim-Said Center for Music in Ramallah, Palestine offers a path forward for its young students, potentially leading to an opportunity to audition for the Barenboim-Said Akademie in Berlin, and a chance to eventually play with the West-Eastern Divan orchestra. Our vision for the project is to use music as a means to uplift the local Palestinian community and to open new pathways for young musicians at the Center to share their talents with their community and the world. The eight-year curriculum at the Center is designed to develop the discipline and training required for a career in music.
