Edu Drama

EDUdrama – International Centre for Drama Education We create and actively support the development of drama education in Slovakia. Our goal and long-term commitment is to integrate drama education into the national curriculum reform of the Slovak education system and to build a strong support framework for professionals in both formal and supplementary professional development education, enabling them to implement drama education methods in the teaching of pupils and students at primary, secondary, and higher education levels. We monitor the position of drama education worldwide and bring examples of good practice to Slovakia. At the same time, we share EDUdrama projects within the international community. We provide education in an authentic, dynamic, and experiential way, grounded in real-life experience, with a strong emphasis on social values and reflection on current cultural and societal needs. KERIC is a non-profit non-governmental youth organization that works with children and young people that are 7-30 years old, but also with adults from the Kysuce region. We offer various activities with an international dimension, which develop the personality of children and young people and vary according to the needs of individuals and groups. We are trying to connect our Kysuce region with Europe and gradually with the whole world. Dozens of young people take the opportunity to travel and experience unique experiences in countries around the world. Every year, volunteers visit us in Čadca to convey their culture, customs, and languages through fun activities. We also send groups of young people from 13 to 30 years of age to the world for international youth exchanges. We have been cooperating with primary and secondary schools in Kysuce for a long time. Throughout the school year, once or twice a week, volunteers from abroad attend schools and help motivate pupils and students, especially in foreign language classes. In addition, we organize regular educational activities for local youth, such as workshops on engaging topics, weekends, webinars with guests, creative workshops for school clubs, and the very popular International Christmas. Every year we open language courses for different age categories, which are led by our foreign volunteers together with Slovak teachers. During summer we organize camps for children from 7 to 16 years. An international team of leaders, intense experiences with peers in nature, lots of attractive activities, joy, and a pleasant mood. We enjoy everything we do. We are constantly learning and adapting to new conditions. We try to supplement what is missing in society, that makes sense and helps people to realize their ideas and meet their needs. Informatika 2.0

Cieľom projektu je dosiahnuť, aby každé slovenské dieťa mohlo plnohodnotne fungovať v digitálnom svete dneška aj zajtrajška. Ako najväčšiu prekážku k tomuto cieľu vnímame systematicky nízku kvalitu výučby informatiky na základných školách, špeciálne u detí zo sociálne znevýhodneného prostredia, ktoré základné digitálne zručnosti nezískavajú doma. Projekt Informatika 2.0 vytvára pre školy kurikulum informatiky, ktoré pokryje každú hodinu modernej informatiky na základnej škole od prvej až po poslednú minútu. Toto kurikulum je zdarma dostupné online, pripravené na okamžité uvedenie do tried (aj dištančne), použiteľné vo všetkých socioekonomických kontextoch na Slovensku a neustále vylepšované, na základe spätnej väzby od učiteľov. Pod záštitou Teach for Slovakia sa nám v septembri 2020 podarilo na projekt získať grant od Google.org, a v marci 2021 sme postúpili do EDUCampu v rámci Generácie 3.0.

Naším cieľom je vychovávať deti, v ktorých sa prirodzená túžba poznávať, ich zvedavosť a fantázia neotupuje, ale naopak rozvíja a stavia sa na nej. Chceme, aby boli naše deti nielen vzdelané, ale aj samostatné, slušné a šťastné v živote, ktorý na nich čaká za bránami školy. Sme presvedčení, že deti by mali začať povinnú školskú dochádzku v príjemnej rodinnej atmosfére, ideálne v úzkom kolektíve s učiteľmi, ktorí sú pozorní ku každému jednému z nich. Pre dieťa sú vzťahy, ktoré nadväzuje v škole so spolužiakmi a s učiteľmi, veľmi dôležité. Vytvárajú bázu pre všetko ostatné. The Primary & Secondary School of Maximilián Hell is situated in the heart of Štiavnické vrchy, directly under the Sitno Hill ( 1 009 m ) which is mentioned in many legends. The school is named after the world – famous astronomer and scientist Maximilián Hell who was born in this village, Štiavnické Bane. The school is founded by the Municipal Council of Štiavnické Bane. The school is the only primary & secondary school in the world where the subject Falconry is taught as a part of the regular curriculum. Part of the school ground is Natural park AVES. The exhibition of birds of prey is also enriched with a demonstration of falconry and practical work with birds of prey. You can find exotic birds - talking parrots, crocodiles, iguanas, monkeys. The most exclusive part of the AVES park is the first exterior vertical garden in Slovakia. we created number of gardens such as Provencal, Japanese, herb, cactus and rain garden. It demonstrates our effort in the field of rainwater harvesting system. During summer our pupils voluntarily give their time to inform and showcase all our activities to the general public.
