Semua diawali pada tahun 1973. Saat itu Kota Malang masih belum ramai seperti sekarang. Pada tahun tersebut H. Paino merintis usaha sate kambing / ayam. Lokasinya persis di perempatan Jl. JA. Suprapto dan Jl. Kaliurang. Kala itu, dia hanya berjualan di pinggir jalan dengan rombong, namun karena memang keunikan rasanya, jualannya semakin lancar dan pelangganpun mulai terbentuk. Pada saat itu omzet harian sekitar 300 tusuk. Termasuk prestasi untuk sate kelas rombong. Sebuah proses untuk menemukan resep terbaik dan pelanggan. Namun, karena satu persatu temannya menikah, maka tiga sekawan ini memutuskan untuk berjualan sendiri sendiri. Kemudian pada tahun 1977, dia pindah di daerah Bunul hingga sekarang. Semenjak pindah ke tempat baru, Sate Bunul makin berkembang. Pada tahun 1997 H.Paino menunaikan ibadah Haji. Sepulangnya dari ibadah Haji, Sate Bunul makin berkembang pesat. Maka, dalam sehari Sate Bunul memotong 10-15 ekor kambing per hari. Perbaikan layanan dan penambahan menu terus dilakukan setiap waktu hingga saat ini menjadi Warung Satee Kambing No. 1 se-Malang Raya (dilihat dari jumlah kambing yang diolah setiap harinya). Lokasinya memang tidak terletak di jalan protokol, agak tersembunyi di sebelah timur Pasar Bunul. Namun Anda tidak perlu khawatir, ketika memasuki daerah Bunulrejo setiap orang bisa dipastikan bisa menunjukkannya. Sebuah warung sate dengan bakaran sate sepanjang 3 meter persis di depan halaman. Hanya dengan melihat panjangnya tempat bakaran, kita bisa membayangkan banyaknya pelanggan Sate Bunul H.Paino. Jika Anda melangkah masuk ke dalam Restoran, Anda akan melihat konsep layanan yang telah tertata rapi. Masyarakat Malang pun telah mengenal keberadaan warung ini. Karena lokasinya di daerah bunul, masyarakat lebih nyaman menyebutnya dengan Sate Bunul. Apapun sebutannya, yang pasti Sate Bunul H.Paino telah menjadi kebanggaan kota Malang dan salah satu kuliner khas Kota Malang. Saat ini, Sate Bunul H.Paino menyediakan berbagai macam menu berbahan dasar kambing, ayam. Kami menggunakan daging pilihan yang mulai dari penyembelihan hingga penyajian telah kami pastikan semuanya diolah secara professional dan higienis. Gule yang berisikan tulang, jeroan dan daging serta sate kambing di Sate Bunul H. Paino sebagai bintang utama wajib berkualitas prima. Kami menyaji sejak 1977 atau hampir 40 tahun silam, dan seperti inilah suasana setiap hari di Sate Bunul H. Paino, ramai dan jauh dari kata sepi. Hanya kambing jawa yang berasal dari pegunungan dan berkualitas prima yang masuk kriteria kami, dan kami olah dengan racikan bumbu rempah-rempah alami yang sangat spesial dan menghasilkan aneka menu Sate Bunul H. Paino terkenal dengan kelezatan yang melegenda. Kunci kelezatan Gule, Sate kambing dan Sate Ayam di Sate Bunul H. Paino tidak lain yaitu kesetiaan menjaga luhurnya warisan, termasuk mempertahankan kualitas bahan baku, bumbu dan teknik peracikan. Cara masaknya masih tradisional, bukan tidak ingin selaras dengan perkembangan zaman melainkan karena proses memasak lama dengan tungku kayu membuat kematangan yang sempurna.
